New Virtua Fighter
New Comix Zone (unlikely but still)
New Streets of Rage (This is absolutely crucial)
Was also thinking of making a thread about Sega killing it this year. They're name is plastered on some of the greatest releases this year.
Persona 5 one of the greatest jrpg's ever made. Puyo Puyo Tetris, the best console version of both Tetris and Puyo Puyo. And Sonic Mania, which is a fantastic game and already in the conversation for best Sonic game. Not to mention Yakuza 0, a GOTY contender that released in January.
I don't know about a renaissance but it's a serious return to form. Hope they can keep it up!

Dear SEGA,
First of all: happy 25th anniversary, Streets of Rage!
Now that Sonic Mania's reveal has been met with a chorus of approval, many people are wondering if the long-neglected Streets of Rage franchise will finally receive a new installment. If starting from scratch would be too much work, please remember that a lot of the groundwork has already been done by Bombergames, the creators of Streets of Rage Remake. Perhaps SEGA can recruit Bombergames to do the same thing for Streets of Rage as Christian Whitehead did for Sonic.
Streets of Rage is a fantastic series, beloved by countless people all over the world. Now would be a good time to consider its return.
Kind regards,
Retroman

I'm surprised no one's mention Moonwalker yet - I'd happily go for another dance-platformer action game (would even fit the meme of Platinum games making it).
As an option sure. As long as they didn't have to casual it down like Namco's Mario Kart.In VR.
A Streets of Rage Mania with Bombergames makes a lot of sense.
In a perfect world I'd have Bombersgames put out some kind of Streets of Rage Remake+ and in the meantime give Ancient plenty of time to make Streets of Rage 4 proper.Remember that Ancient, creators of Beyond Oasis and Gotta Protectors on 3DS, are still around.
They consist of at least a couple of key members of the SoR team, namely Ayano and Yuzo Koshiro. I'd trust them to develop a new installment the most. At least, I'd have someone like Bombergames or Arc System Works to collaborate with them.
And then Treasure revisited Guardian Heroes for the XBLA re-release and somehow actually made the game better in every way. They did. Code of Princess kinda sucked unfortunately.
Almost every way. Unfortunately there's no way to do 6 player local multi on Xbox 360, but I suppose that's a limitation of the system itself since it can only handle 4 controllers max.And then Treasure revisited Guardian Heroes for the XBLA re-release and somehow actually made the game better in every way.
