Completely agree. This show got so screwed by being on FX. If it had been on HBO, or any cable network that people actually watch, it would be the most popular primetime drama on TV.LukeSmith said:This is hands-down my favorite show on television.

Whoa whoa whoa. What is this about a season 7? I could have sworn that Season 5/6 were the last as they were originally supposed to be a long last season like the Sopranos, but were split into separate seasons resulting in 2 short seasons and essentially wrapped up the series. Can someone point me to anywhere where people are suggesting there is a 7th season?

By far.
Nobody really watches any of those shows. The Shield is moderately successful, but nowhere in line with how good it is. I mean compared to stuff like 24, CSI, Lost, Heroes, and even the Sopranos which all bring in 10-20 million an episode. It's just a shame that The Shield is so much better than all of those and yet relatively few get to see it.DevelopmentArrested said:What you talking about? The Shield gathers 3.5 million viewers ish which is extremely strong numbers for cable tv. and FX is big, biggest cable network next to HBO... Rescue Me, Dirt, The Riches, Nip/Tuck and Shield all bring in big ratings. Similiarly, on broadcast TV this show simply wouldn't work.
Anyways, its 10PM.
So it begins.

Problem is outside of premium cable channels like HBO nothing really brings in huge ratings. Obviously I don't expect The Shield to do network TV numbers, but it should be doing better than The Sopranos which is nowhere near as good but nets almost 10 million viewers every single episode.
