I've been waiting on pics of your Z4 coupe for a while now. Did you kill yourself in it?
Interesting story:
The first time I saw a Z4 coupe was around 3 years ago in a dollar store parking lot, a couple months before the local BMW dealership was scheduled to get their first shipment. I had to do a double-take, but sure enough, it was a blue Z4 coupe... had no idea how there was already one on the road then, so I had to get a closer look. I made a quick u-turn and drove up next to it, got out, and enjoyed a full walk-around. I was about to take a few cell phone pictures when a little old lady walked up with some grocery bags and said "That sure is a nice looking car!" I said yeah, it's excellent, that it was a Z4 coupe and probably the only one in the state at that point. I thought she was just passing by and noticed me admiring it, but her response was, "No I was talking about your car! But yes, I had to have this one shipped from Texas."
I did this number --> :O
This lady had to have been at least 70-80 years old. She said her and her late husband had been BMW enthusiasts since the 70s, and that every car they'd owned since then had been a BMW. She saw the Z4 coupe in a brochure and had to have it. The best part? It was a 6 speed. No wimpy auto for grandma. Huge props to her. I acknowledged her choice of transmission and she said something to the effect of, "i was always that girl that wanted to drive instead of being driven around, and if you wanted to learn to drive back then, you had to grind gears in your father's old farm truck!"
I instantly wished she was my grandmother. Coolest old lady I'd ever met.
