That's true.

I mean hell, Spoony and Joe were together during an interview with the X-Com: Enemy Unknown devs at E3 2012. And they DO reference the Betrayal Rage.

Oh man I can imagine Linkara, That Guy, Snob, Joe and Spoony feel like shit cause of this. Spoony can be a real asshole sometimes but he does have real friends at the site. I hope they take him back after letting him cool for a good while.

Imo Spoony has been THE best ''angry reviewer'' after AVGN just stopped caring. Spoony even to this day does very funny and entertaining stuff.

From what I see, Spoony and Joe and really good friends. Probably with Linkara, too. JewWario was also on one of Spoony's video, when they discuss the Nintendo Press Conference.

You think that's bad you should've heard his follow up to that Lordkat Live rant today where he refused to apologize for his statements in that livestream...and then stated that any fan of spoony's needed to make a choice. Follow lordkatt or follow spoony. No middle ground. Said anyone who liked spoony's vids was scum of the earth and not welcome on his site. Was quite hate filled.

I'd post a link to it but he seems to be deleting vids off his twitch account (or twitch removes/refreshes vids...not savvy on twitch)

From what I understand Linkara, Cinema Snob and Joe are very close to Spoony. Not sure about Wario tho.

JewWario in the Nintendo Conference video was a one off because he's TGWTG resident "Nintendo guy", and they wanted someone on the video that is a fan of Nintendo.

Same podcast. Seems that he was asking people at e3 if he could choke them on camera and that + BETRAYAL!!! were a lil too much.

What little of Spoony's content I've seen, the ones with the cameos were by far the worst. And I'm pretty sure most of his traffic he gets is directly from his website and not a tiny little tab on TGWTG, so I don't think anything's over at all.

If he doesn't shut up, well....

it's funny, i discovered TGWTG through Spoony's site originally. i'm curious how this affect TGWTG's traffic now that they got rid of him. i'm gonna say it's gonna have some impact.

I meant more of his relationship with TGWTG. I'm not saying this will even affect him revenue wise, unless he can't have the site hosted or something, but rather it's just weird to see Spoony without TGWTG, but I guess it's not unthinkable.

Same. Discovered Spoony, and then I slowly watched TGWTG, and then Lordkat. Never really liked anyone there besides Spoony, Doug, or Lordkat.
 
What I want to know is what's gonna happen with 4th Year Anniversary Special.

Spoony got a pretty big role in the last 2, so I wonder what will happen with this one.

i haven't watched LK's stuff in over a year. his videos were starting to become less entertaining and his persona also grated on me after awhile. not sure if he altered his style since.
 
I watched LK's Until We Win series, that's about it.

I go on TGWTG for Doug, Spoony, Linkara and Angry Joe. Sometimes I watch Sage's Anime reviews. And I watched JesuOtaku's Digimon retrospective.

Same as the 2 before. I dont think Spoony or TGWTG has any problems releasing it the way it is. If they started to cut Spoony out it would just be stupid and huge waste of everyones time who were involved in making it.

Weird, that's basically the exact same for me too. I have listened once in a blue moon, but never really consistently in quote some time.
 
i've given up going to TGWTG's site for the videos. they do a horrible job updating on a timely basis when there's new content and they pick and choose what to show on the site. i simply go to the creator's site or Blip/Youtube these days.

you guys should do so too. there's a bunch of stuff they make that doesn't end up on TGWTG's site and they're very entertaining as well. They might be less polished but good content is good content.
 
This third caller is the weird type of fan I'm talking about. He is talking like he knows Spoony in real life, which is super-weird. Saying "I've been watching the fall of Noah," kind of puts him in that camp.

EDIT: Also, why in the fucking shit do these people go to conventions? Why the fuck do they try and get interviews with people? They're never going to be a game journalist. Nobody started watching them because they were journalists. Nobody goes to Spoony's site, or wherever to see an interview at E3. I don't know, am I alone on this?

lol, i agree. interviews are fine but it's so much easier if they simply did a recap of what went on there and what they found out.

gotta give props to Joe tho, the Creative Director of Watch Dogs linked and tweeted Joe's interivew with him and called it his best interview at E3

I do this too, actually. Blip.tv for Doug, AT4W's blog for Linkara, Spoony's site for Spoony and Angry Joe's site for... you get the idea. But I always go back to the main site, for some reason.

I would say Joe is the closest thing to a journalist...that felt weird typing that up. Basically he has more than just character reviews, and he seems to try and make his site a more rounded site.

Yeah, I know a lot of people try to play the fence these days, and try and stay neutral towards stuff, but I really love Joe's pro-consumer attitude. I just watched a video on SF x Tekken about the disc DLC and he seemed really super-pissed and he felt it.

(Also this 5th caller is freaking me out as well. Again, he doesn't know Spoony but talks like he does...it's weird.)

I'm just shaking my head at all those people trying to get hits/visits/whatever out of this. That Podcast guy was just childishly raging, various peeps on Twitter seem to get a hard-on about this and I just discovered a Youtube video on Spoonys retweets I will not link, from a person nobody even cared about before, getting all "O HI LEMME TELL YOU THE TRUE STORY", repeating stuff everyone knows and basically saying "It's all Lupas fault and her joke about her cat is as bad as Spoonys rape joke".

Spoonys 'joke' was a joke, a one in bad taste, but not that different from the jokes he did for years now. He SHOULD apologize, but who gives various random internet persons the rights they're claiming they have? The whole circus surrounding this is annoying me far more than the actual thing that happened right now.

Oh, and just to be clear, I'm not talking about general discussion on GAF, other boards on twitter, I'm just talking about those people thinking about themselves being judges or the one true voice 'cause they have a twitter or youtube account.
Actually, I'm really mostly talking about that one Youtube guy who enraged me. And LordKat. Goddamn :D
