The Switch has wireless charging capability?

Okay so there was the teardown of the Switch done which lists all the parts in the Switch (which somewhat mysteriously also contains additional motion sensors like in the Switch patents, but is something we haven't heard anything from Nintendo about), Joycon, and dock.

One thing that stood out to me was the mention of wireless charging in the main PCB.

My understanding is that the dock charges through the USB-C but placing the Switch console on my wireless charging pad gets it to at least turn on as if it detects a wireless charging unit, but it blinks as if it's not able to charge and the Switch itself doesn't say it's charging.

I also tried moving the Switch all around to see if there was a way to make it charge but nope. It appears to only react on the right side of the device. I thought maybe this is how the Joycons charge, but they don't turn on my charger's LED in any position. I don't see anything in the teardown that sticks out to me to suggest there is wireless charging in the Joycon or the dock parts, so is there a wireless charging solution in the Switch itself?

Is there a potential part that would be confusing my charger that makes it think there is wireless charging or is there wireless charging in the Switch that just isn't compatible with my charger? Can anyone confirm this or provide clarity on what may really be going on?

It would be interesting if Nintendo included this.

Lock if old.

Does the switch come on when you do this with the Joy-Cons detached? It sounds like your wireless charger might have an NFC chip in it that's reacting with the one in the right Joy-Con.

Given how much power it needs to charge, I don't see wireless charging working for it all.

Ah man. While this is obviously not necessary, because we can already charge the Switch without placing it in the dock, a wireless charging pad would be really neat. I hope someone can shed some light on this.

It's only reacts on the left side of the Switch and it's even with the Joycon removed.

In fact, neither Joycon make the charger turn on at all, in any position, even where the NFC reader is.

Well it might not be efficient enough to charge while playing (I'm just assuming from what little I know about wireless charging), but I could imagine it may still be a decent way to charge in sleep mode on your night stand at night.
