The Thread of Growing Epic Beards

I haven't had a haircut nor shaved in a while... I was due for one but this thread has convinced me to let it go for Movember. I forgot it was even coming up to be honest.

I do need a haircut though. I have to do that at least.

What are you trying to say? Because to me, having white hair sounds like it would be awesome. And not in a Sephiroth kind of way. I have seen people with white hair and thought it looked badass. I'd rather have a head of white hair than no hair at all...
EDIT: nvm, I realized seconds after posting what you meant. That's it, I'm going to sleep...
I'm not saying it won't look badass, but I have no idea why it's happening.:lol

I was already really white to begin with. Now all the color is leaving my head too.

ah yes, the winter beard. this is mine from last year.

Doesnt grow evenly, so I gave up on it, but I will start growing it again in november probably.

I am only ever able to grow a mustache.
My friend, on the other hand, has everything EXCEPT a mustache.
Many times have we mused over this.

I started shaving when I was 12 and have had a full goatee since I was 15 or 16, so I have no problem growing facial hair whatsoever. I've never let it grow any longer than it is now though, and I dunno how much my girlfriend would like it anyway haha.

This is kind of ridiculous but it's the best picture I have at the moment (me on the cover)

I think I'll be able to grow a decent beard cause my dad has a decent one and it seems to run in the family with 2 of my uncles having long beards. (They're bikers)

I've been rocking a beard for 3 years now. I never let it goes out of control since It doesn't grow in length much but in thickness like crazy. Here's one pic were I had it trimmed and is slightly shorter than what it look like normally.

You could probably get a lot of trim with that look. And I'm not talking haircuts.
Yeah thats it trimmed a bit already, since my cheeks grow about an even rate.

The stache doesnt connect with the goat though, thats my one issue :\ Perfect little bald spot right in the middle ... but I can pull of a pretty good Tony Stark (movie version) for Halloween :lol
:woosh: :lol

Trim is slang for a certain part of the female anatomy.

Just started what seems to be my yearly beard (began in '07).

Will update in a few weeks when it's ready for showing! :lol

duh

English is my 3rd laguage :lol

As for neckbeards, dont shave them, just trim them

I had a nice one going for a while a few years ago but I eventually got tired of it and now my girlfriend won't let me grow another one. Um, this is the only picture I could find of it, just ignore everything else and concentrate on the beard:

That's like asking someone to watch porn and concentrate on the acting. =)

I've had some variation of facial hair for the past 2 years...I actually forget what I look like without it.

My hair is very straight, so it looks weird (sticks out) when it gets too long, but as long as it's trimmed I love my beard.

Oh, and beards get dudes laid like mad, for serious.

I've had a full beard for over a year now. I've tried pretty much every standard beard style over the last 10 years and the full beard is my favorite.

That being said I don't let it grow very long, I use an electric trimmer, I keep it thick but don't let it actually hang down off my face. On the same token I shave the neck-beard, just look like a hobo if I don't.

crazy haircut lady cut my hair way too short so now my beard looks off. gonna have to trim it real short since i have a date tommorow.

I've had a beard for over a year now. I've grown attached to the thing. Wife likes playing with it. Easier to keep up. I get attached to my facial hair though. Before the beard I had sideburns. I had those since I could grow them.

I look weird clean shaven, I always try to leave a little stubble. Though, it'd be much more annoying if it where the other way around and I looked weird not clean shaven, I'd have to shave 2 times a day. You guys who can't grow beards are lucky.

Do you beardos keep your neck beard or shave it?

I keep it. Just let it all hang out.

Instead of going for the full beard, I am simply trying to bring back the mutton chops.

For reference:

I did that two years ago. I feel like I can do it more justice now.

My hair is so fucking thick that it makes my face raw, so I have to NOT SCRATCH AT ALL.

This is me at Wild West (a country bar) role playing a hick last weekend

I am guilty of having an awesome thick beard that I never grow out. I grew it out once for a month, and it was a monster :D But i'm too whipped to do it again.. :(

I always keep a beard of varying lengths.

Right now I'm in what I call my "Halloween Growing Season," which means I'm letting it get much longer than normal. This way, if I want to be something for Halloween that requires a mighty beard, I have it; normal size beard, I can trim down to it; and if I want to go no beard for some reason (as I have in the past as Clark Kent), it absolutely freaks everybody out when I go from having a 2 inch beard to nothing.

In the almost 4 years I've been working at my current place of employment, there has only been one day where I came to work without a beard. I have only fully shaved the beard 4 times since I graduated high school; once for a job interview, once for jaw surgery (though technically I didn't need to), and twice for Halloween. I usually keep it at around a 2 setting or so on my trimmer; right now it's a little over an inch long.
