The Transistor dynamic theme (PS4) is pretty darn awesome

Looks very cool. Detailed and not too confusing. I like that's it doesn't have any actual "Transistor" written on it. Could be any mech/sci-fi theme really.

To be honest, as I continue progressing into the world of game development (to at least firmly grasp the context of what programmers / artists are doing on our projects) I wouldn't mind being able to release some themes for PS4 that were general themes. Hell, I'd even design a GAF one if I had the chance.

I say this, because I may not be the greatest graphic designer that ever lived, but my animation / design / skills can produce MUCH BETTER than a lot of the crap that is polluting the theme section right now. At least the butter theme was kind of cool...

I agree, there's too many junk themes.

I don't know if the designers have bad taste, but it feels like a lot of them make these "half-hearted" themes. They just don't seem to care that much.

I just went through the effort of getting the FFXIV theme of the JP store. I can't make the switch now. Plus, the FF music.

Imagine what we'd get if someone teamed up with Orioto to handle programming / licensing while he made some masterpieces.

Or any number of the talented folk who are not beneath the umbrella of a company that would restrict them from designing even just random themes. Maybe EvilLore could work with someone from here to get a theme or two for GAF made. Could even be a community thing, and then release it on the store for cheap or free :P

I'd love to see some things more in-line with some of the psychedelic stuff on PS3, or even just more well-made static themes. If anyone remembers, from over half a decade ago, I helped Alba make a Killzone 2 theme that he gloriously designed. Even stuff like that would be fun!

Unfortunately I can't find a download for it and Alba's site is down.

Hey guys, I know artwork had to be made, programming had to happen, and people were paid to make this, but LOL who cares I deserve everything for free so screw this!

That's how I read posts like these. It's like people who get mad because they torrented a movie and it has hard-coded subtitles or something, when they could have gone down the street to a Redbox, used Netflix, or rented said movie on any number of services.

I dunno, considering the game itself was only what, $15 on release and free this month on PS+ I can understand how one might have an issue shelling out $3 for a theme.

I wish there was a list of themes that ran rendered graphics vs themes that just play a video -_- I hate those video themes (except for the corn n burning butter theme).

Installed, it's nicer than I thought plus it has music too!? My favourite theme so far!

& Red humming in the background makes it so much better.

Not a great a fan of this theme. But due to the lack of better themes, I might use this one. I'll definitely buy it as a form of support to the Transistor developers.

Another "I would buy but I am in EU" post.

Didnt realise the EU PSN was so behind with themes till I checked the store. Have they even added new themes since the first batch?
