The Walking Dead Season 2 SPOILERS Thread!

Did anyone else think it was a bit fucked up when Sarah fell and died near the end of the episode (well, unless you let her die earlier) and pretty much no one in the group really cared? I mean, yeah they had to look after Rebecca and her baby and yeah Sarah wasn't very likeable and was sort of dragging the group down but god damn, she was a child who had just lost her father, that kinda got to me. But yeah, good episode even though it ended in a pretty shitty cliffhanger.

Lol nope, left her in the mobile home. She is literally the Ben of season 2. I thought Ben would redeem himself in season 1, and I was wrong. So another useless character presents herself, I am not giving second chances again.

And it turns out I was right, she dies anyways.

Yeah it was glossed over way too much. I hated how they just had Jane up and leave too. Episode 4 was definitely the low point of the series.

Fucking stupid Russians.

Hopefully the finale will be great. Overall, this season has not been anywhere near as good as Season One. Maybe Telltale has too many plates spinning.

This is really starting to bother me about Telltale games, they really need to step it up because it's the same stuff that happened in TWD S1 & TWAU. It's starting to get to the point where I don't really give a shit about what choices I make because I know it's going to end the same way regardless.

Not walking dead, but the conclusion of wolf among us (the trial) drove me nuts. The game wouldn't let me say what I wanted to say, all the characters were acting like idiots, and I had evidence and the guy just kept going "nope".

By the end I was so frustrated that I didn't give a fuck anymore
I ripped his head off

Luke and Rebecca are the only two people left from the cabin group who would care about Sarah, and Rebecca was too concerned about having her baby to really care all that much. The more time I spend with Luke the more I get the feeling he only really cares about himself...he's super flaky.

My one gripe that has popped in other Tell Tale games is that its always a black/white choice.

Take the meds or don't take the meds. Why can't I ask him for HALF?

Episode 4 is the low point of all of telltales recent games.

Episode 4 in season 1 was slow as fuck, to the point I had to push myself to complete it again when replaying the game on vita.

Episode 4 in TWAU is also pointless

And this episode 4 just annoyed the piss out of me.

Episode 4 only seems to serve as a means to build up the final episode.

That's what I wanted to do! If that was a real life situation, I wouldn't be a dick and rob the guy but I wouldn't let him leave with it all if I knew I had people who needed meds. As much as I looooove Mass Effect, the black and white responses were shit. Telltale are the same.

You must absolutely hate Kenny then. His reappearance was the point where Clem was no longer in the driver seat.

I feel the same way about episodes 1 and 2 in that they were the best. And I do like the overall plot. Episodes 1 and 2, you helped Clem proved her worth to the group. Episode 3 you learn that the group may not be worthy for Clem. Episode 4 is where you see them fall apart and you can't do anything about it.

I think there was potential when they reintroduced Kenny. One of the better small choices in this season was when you had to pick between dinner tables at the ski lodge. It was one of the rare moments I was conflicted. I really like moments like that (and handing out the food in Season 1). But you are right since then, Kenny has hampered the story, and I don't think he has been written all that well. I don't buy him being so angry at cutting off Sarita's arm. It would be more in character for him to go back to Carver's compound and get revenge by killing everyone there.

If this season had been building up to anything then a slow episode 4 would be excusable. But it hasn't been building - it is just a series disconnected events. Carver is totally resolved, and The Russians are totally new. The group has no destination or goal.

The reason it's so Kenny-centric now is because they aren't going to beat a child near to death etc. nor can she be the leader, shes a child.

In the first game stuff could happen TO Lee and that was okay. He was an adult, he could take his licks and move on.

Also he was obviously the leader. Clem cannot be. Thus Kenny.

While it's fun playing as Clem and it's nice to tell this sort of story, she is a child and is going to be over shadowed by the adults.

Take the TV show. If the show just followed Carl around all the time it would be boring.

I think my game is glitched, the baby turned strange in my game:

I really hope I get a chance to kill Kenny myself next episode, he's even more of a whiny bitch than in season one. Sarita was bitten multiple times, she was a corpse either way. I'm so glad they gave Clem the option to say "I had to shoot Lee." Of course Kenny no-sold it because he's a self-pitying prick.

I let Sarah stay and die, couldn't drag her ass through the world. If she can't get up in the face of certain death than she doesn't deserve to live.

I wish they would have set up the Arvo thing earlier, like an episode or two ago and then forgotten about. Having it all in the same episode just felt so contrived.

I felt like this was the highlight of a rather less polished season 2. Better gameplay and I felt dread the entire way through

And people that are glad to leave Sarah to die are fucked up.

What would you do? You can't drag her up to her feet and through every hard time. If she doesn't have the motivation to live, what can you do?

Then again, I'm a hypocrite. I saved Ben in Season 1 without a second thought.

I just want a chance to kill Kenny or let him die.

What's also funny about this being a game plus dire situations is you kind of already know there isn't any real aftermath to your choices.

Like when I found Sarah. I saved her. Because I knew the game wasn't going to let Clem get eaten. And if that did cause a game over I would just reload and take the other path and live.

Had it been REAL LIFE with zombies coming through the door... yea I'd have left her to die. Because there is no "do over" if I'm wrong.

There's a difference between choosing to leave her behind because it endangers others (including yourself) and being glad to not have a burdensome person. Being the latter makes you Carver.

It's legit way to play. Recall that Carver said that he and Clem were alike.

He even mentions it when you can choose to watch Kenny beat him to death. If you stay to watch you are confirming what he said about you.

I slapped some sense into Sarah, and she came along with me. Unfortunately when she fell off the deck, it was either her or Jane, and well, Jane had more going for her. I thought about it for a few seconds, but at that moment, Jane was just too valuable to possibly lose.

I also screamed for help. The last thing I wanted to do in a standoff was to fire a bloody gun. Pity Kenny went full impulse. I fully expect a dead Luke.

this is such bullshit i didm;t fucking take from arvo

should have took his stuff and shot him in the fucking face

that ending is bullshit who wrote this

same. all the choices in that trial seemed to ignore one common thing

I did the things i did because PEOPLE WERE BREAKING THE LAW

that tree was illegal. twiddles were hit men. I AM THE LAW

Every fucking villain on the planet has that "We're alike, you and I" shtick. They might share similarities in areas but there's always a few rather large fundamental differences between them.

Jane spends this entire episode saying Clem is her mini me. She can't be both Carver and Jane's mini mes. Clem is pragmatic, and can be cold, but she's not "throw a guy off a roof for shitty work" ruthless nor does she shrink away from relationships like Jane. She may be going down either (or both) of those paths but that'll take a long time. Carver is delusional, and his assessment of character is not reliable.

If only you had been in the season 2 pitch meetings at Telltale! :[

I do think there is potential for a good Clementine game, but it is near impossible to do when you end up focusing on adult group dynamics. Have her lead a group of kids and scavenge and hide from adults and zombies. Go get some inspiration from Lord of the Flies.

I think my game is glitched, the baby turned strange in my game:

Is that for real? Hahahahhaa

I had a bug where Clementine's eyes went wide open and completely wide. Was over in a second but still the scariest part of the whole episode for me. Too bad I didn't catch a screenshot.

I was REALLY hoping Sarah would toughen up to some degree. I didn't mind her at first, and I helped her out a lot, hoping that things would pay off and she'd get some backbone. It never happened, and in the end, she wound up being worse than Ben, but with a few points due to her age.

I was pretty bummed about Rebecca dying though. I honestly warmed up to her after episode 1, and it feels like she just kinda died randomly. We knew that the snow + baby delivery was taking a bad toll on her, but I really didn't expect for her to be killed off so soon (let alone for her to turn so quickly).

Nick's death was inevitable since we had a choice to save him. But I was kind of ok with him too, even though he also had a lot of fuckup moments.

I like Luke, but I've been siding with Kenny a lot more. Luke lost some points thanks to the hornyness getting in the way of his task thing.

Overall, this episode was probably the worst one yet. At this point I'm treating TWD as a visual novel instead of an adventure game, because the gameplay aspects really aren't there anymore. I hope the season finale goes somewhere interesting. It doesn't have to be Season 1 Episode 5 in terms of greatness, but at least make it seem like the Season ended in a good place.

Sarah would have been a better character if she had actually done something. I think she was supposed to fill Clementine's spot from the first season as the little kid that needs protecting, but the difference is that Clementine wasn't just dead weight like Sarah. She was helping Lee since they introduced her. Sarah only has one opportunity to help Clementine in the game, and it's optional. I was going through the game with the belief that Sarah would eventually turn into a competent character as the story went on, but she just got worse as time went on. Maybe it was a test to see how far the player would go to help a character who is making the game progressively more difficult the more you try to help.

Well, that episode was a big disappointment. I really wish they would have written Rebecca better so I cared about her situation even a little bit. That's really my problem with this season, I just don't care about any of the characters they've introduced. I started to like Jane during this episode as she took Clementine under her wing and taught her some survival skills. So now she's gone and I'm left alone again.

I gotta say though, I do like that Telltale is allowing me to ditch characters I don't like here and there. Leaving Sarah behind was an easy choice, now I don't have to listen to her whining all the time.

They should have stretched out the Carver situation a little more instead of introducing these Russians. At least Carver was a somewhat interesting villain.

Edit: Was Rebecca actually a zombie at the end or was she just really, really tired? I probably should have considered that before shooting.

Something about the writing in this has been bugging me. Suddenly Luke is a massive dickhead who is arguing about EVERYTHING.

Beyond that, seemed interesting though it's sad to see them still make choices pretty pointless by killing Sarah either way(kinda expected) and stealing from Arvo meaning nothing. Seriously though, fuck this stupid baby and Rebecca. I shot her because I've wanted her and Sarah gone for awhile. I have no idea how she expects to be able to raise a child in this type of situation, and the entire episode was all about prepping for this, which once again got them all into a load of shit.

Atleast Jane actually had a brain.

I hope to hell there isn't a zombie apocalypse cause some of you fucking scare me.

I had a talk with my SO and she said she would do anything to survive. Murder, steal, etc.

So I had her play Season 1 and yea her Lee don't give 2 shits about anyone ecept he and Clem. Though, only other character she liked and tried to be friends with was Kenny.

I really wonder how much the 'decisions' the player makes even matter anymore....

Just feels like a movie where you have to occasionally click to progress forward

Yo, did that happen in Ep 4? Cause I think it happened to me. The camera was some distance away from her while someone was talking, but you could see the whites of her eyes. I didn't think it was real up until you mentioning this.

So who do think died in the shootout? I'm guessing Mike's dead right away, with Bonnie or Luke having time to talk to Clementine before they die too. For some reason I also think Clems going to have to kill Kenny to protect the baby.
