I have to say it's really fun, but it already has huge bugs.

edit: Holy crap, it's just broken right now. This is like 1994 shaky Windows 3.1 driver bad.

Yeah the game is quite fun, first MP game for PS3 that i've really liked (Resistance did nothing for me).

I hope they patch this game soon, so you know, we can actually test the damn thing without our machines constantly freezeing up on us.
 
Gonna try a 4th time. If it freezes, I'll just wait til later or tomorrow. I can't access that message board either, for some reason, Denog.

It's being a pain.

That warhawk beta forum isn't working for me anyway. I'm logged in and I have a handle... and I'm currently downloading the Beta right now. Still gives me "access denied" and gives me three reasons as to why that might be. None of the three actually apply to me.
 
It looks like the ranked SCEA servers are unjoinable as well. I was gonna try and see if the freezing isn't as bad there but no dice.

i had that same problem but when i reloaded the page it worked.

Hope they don't make you download the whole thing again if there is a patch. What could be causing the crashes? Is it server overload or just plain bugs?

You would think if that were truly the case, they would say in the opening agreement or by email. Why would they rely on some page hosted that they don't directly link to?
 
How is this game so unreliable? Journalists have been playing even earlier builds for months and I don't I've heard a single freezing issue unless they're embargoed from commenting on bugs.

Newer build most likely. And previously, it was being tested on debugs within a development network. Not a retail unit on a production network.
These crashes are exactly what everyone is testing it for :lol

No idea. Probably P2P problems.

From the limited time I had with it, it looks like the game could be pretty damn fun (if not a bit bewildering). This is definitely not a game for the casual set.
 
OMG I knew I shouldn't have logged on Gaf, this will be the longest day ever, I have to call my sister and walk her through the download so when I get home at 11 it's ready to be installed and played. Where exactly is the download located so I can simplify the instructions?
 
And this is precisely why there is an NDA in the first place. We're supposed to test this thing for bugs and playability, and that's it. Sony has no interest in the public getting the idea that the game is buggy (bad vibes tend to stick), hence the agreement to avoid posting impressions of the beta experience. That part about irreversibly damage may sound like an exaggeration, but I don't think it is. Next we'll see an article on Kotaku or ******* that talks about this buggy game, and the sky is the limit from there.
 
I haven't said anything about the game other than my one technical issue and that I am going to post things on the forums where they can improve. That's all I be saying.

And that's all I will say.

But this lack of clear NDAness is really perplexing.
