The Warhawk Beta Summer of Awesome (PS3)

Downloading now and I'll be on shortly. Is there an easy control scheme posted somewhere in game, or is it basically figure it out yourself?

Can't wait for Kotaku and Joystuq to pick this up and blast sony for having Bugs in a OMG Beta!!... You know they have a reputation and journalistic walrus balls of integrity to uphold...

seriously, i wouldn't even bother right now. it's completely unplayable.

and we thought bungie had issues with halo 3 lol

lol, well, you can't help but to be a bit disappointed when everyone's seen the videos from Gamer's Day and other "exclusive" videos. It's fair to expect the same.

With that said, they get a pass because of the firmware upgrades, BUT I hope they become better prepared when the inevitable 2.0 comes out, and any other subsequent upgrades.

Ugh, downloading this tonight will be a bitch, I just know it.
 
I had a network error and I was host. Well, we had like a 30-40 minute game. SHould I create another or let someone else?

I'm recreating: Password 'believe' with a Zone type gameplay

It's up. 4 map rotation, Zone gameplay.
 
This game is fickin' awesome. I just hosted a 32 player match, no problem whatsoever. Are we starting a neogaf clan yet?

It froze and I had to restart. It's back up with a map called Eucadia and the map Archipelago after it.

No problems here. I did turn off Media Sharing prior to downloading though; given all the problems that caused, I would definitely try redownloading again if it were enabled before.

I've downloaded games before (like Rampart) that are totally glitchy, but when redownloaded work great.
 
Lurvely stuff.

Happily proved wrong on the dates - not that any "I told you shows" are justified, they could have done a better job with giving heads up.

how do you enter a password to join a room? i don't see the option anywhere ^^;;
 
My first impressions; the game is beautiful and plays like a dream. I love the depth of it. I find the air turrets are slightly over powered, and air turret against a warhawk the warhawk doesn't even stand a chance. The controls of the warhawk are awesome, except I wish I could boost. Maybe in different models?

The weapons are great, the sound is awesome. The variety of gameplay is really nice. Hand grenades and sniping rifles are really satisfying.

This is amazing.

It will prompt you after you join the server initially.

Comes up when you try to enter.

Is it just me, or is the keypad freakin' huge compared to what it normally is?

I'm gonna try playing again later. Need the bf here to help me figure out how to play ^^

People have been complaining about the air turrets for quite some time now. I really wish my download would finish :/ 57%!!!

ah it works now if you join from the main menu.

if you move it to favorites it doesn't prompt you for some reason @@
 
Wait do you get an e-mail that says you got into the beta? Or does the beta download just show up in your PS store.

I never get emails from Sony even though I'm in PSU.. Kinda wierd.

I think you press R2 twice for a boost, give that a shot

I started over from 34% since the download was available. Hope this makes it faster. I had media sharing on.

Damn, we had another nice game and it froze me. About 25 mintues that time.

I guess I'll recreate one more time. Safe_Bet and I made some nice kills. The Eucadia map is awesome.
 
I hopped in on a neogaf game about 10 minutes ago + got blown up a couple minutes before the session ended :lol

Good stuff though, going to give this a full runthrough tonight.

I'm still at work, so I'm not playing yet :p

Sony/Incog have stated that the beta consists of pretty much the full game and since they've also stated the full game has 25 maps across 5 environments, there's no NDA to break in pointing that out.

But no screenshots to go with that. Sorry. There were a few that came out from Gamer's Day last week that showed a desert environment.

I've been playing for an hour now, no freezes. Woo!

I haven't had this much fun since the ol' Team Fortress days. Man, I'm lovin it.

What the shit, when I click the link it says not logged in, dont have board handle or arent part of the beta. Clicking the first 2 says already logged in and handle already established, and im part of the beta.

Well, I played for a solid hour before it froze on me in the GAF game, this game is great fun, though I dont know if I'd buy it.
