I'm playing Warhawk on 1.60 and it still freezes up alot so its not just 1.80

Well one theory going around is the 1.80 firmware messed some stuff up, which is causing the Warhawk freezes, and if it is the firmware causing it its entirely possible that it could effect Resistance and other online games.

Its just the game, its still in beta. Lets hope the final game will fair better.

Why do that when we could pull assumptions out of our asses? Come on! Most of us are engineers and programmers with intimate knowledge of the system and how the system FW and game were coded.

Sorry - I wasn't actually responding to anything you said, just the overall blame game. It's just that there are so many layers of things going on in a system of this magnitude, lamenting things just because something else is broken is just pointless.

Well some are saying Resistance isnt working well after the update either so who knows.

Either way i want them to fix it(i dont think there is anyone who doesnt), i would be playing it right now if it were working good. I would play this consistently.

But the PS3 usually doesn't let you connect to the PSN before installing the newest update. Unless you never turn your PS3 off and keep it connected.

Yeah. The freezing is keeping me away from Warhawk and back into Resistance. I didn't manage to finish ONE ****ING GAME!

I bet thats actually what they are testing (hosting games) which is why there arent any SCEA servers working....


but, even with the freezing, game is just ****ING AWESOME.
It is very deep experience, because you can play in different ways and still have complete experience. On foot or in air, it is very satisfying...

It is also extremly easy to get into - it really is good game. I liked every map so far, even though I usually preffer to play 1-2 maps in game (BF 1942 I played for 1 year, single map... RTCW 2 maps 2 years)...

Teh gaf clan hasn't had any problems with Resistance after the patch though. Overall connectivity seems to be down after 1.8 but I wonder if it has to do with all the server stuff they're doing right now.

i agree with all that except from my experience the amount of players in a match has little to do with whether or not you freeze.
The last three times i crashed there were no more than 8 players. :-(

All games have a learning curve, especially these ones. There's no singleplayer, so you'll see newbies messing around learning the controls, the map, the point of the game, etc.

Just have it on and configured. When you start the game you should hear people and be able to chat.

Coincidentally, ive found that in every game at least ONE mother****ing person has their shit up too loud and you can hear background noise the entire round.

Also, finally froze on me last night about 3 times. But the CTF game I played before the 1st freeze was ****ing BANANAS.

Take everything Garnett says with a grain of salt.
Every view he has is based completely on his emotional state in that moment and being that he is emotionally unstable he has a lot of contradictory and just completely wrong opinions.

I havent played BF2142 but I completely agree with you every game I have played just feels so perfect. There is something deeply satisfying about being on the ground with a warhawk firebombing the crap out of you jumping into a building hearing its missles hammer the building and then slipping out grabbing a Anti Aircraft Turret and just raining down hell on him.
