Not necessarily. New software could use your hardware in ways it wasn't being used before that are still valid but trigger a hardware defect. It happens. Your hardware also could have gone bad in between updates. That happens, too. Get over it. You're wrong.

Nvidia and AMD graphic drivers are also prone to this. As a general rule, if somethings works fine, there is no need to update.

Also System Restore should always be on. Though I missed W7 option to choose which updates were going to be installed. That way you could remove the problematic ones

look the rule with windows 10 is have the pro version and delay your updates like 60 days and let everyone test them lol. then once u know they good update.
trust me it saves 800 headaches.
