The team are already working on Plague Road for the console, seems they're bringing more games to it (they were recently asking about an open-world RPG for the handheld).

Definitely has that Luc Bernard art style :P

In the world of The Witch Trials, hackers called “Witches” can take control of giant government-controlled mechanized robots for their own purposes – and in the game you’ll be playing as a hacker that can ally with three different Witch factions. These factions are each led by a Witch, who is looking to either escape a trial they’ve been put up against, or seeking to help their cause more. Taking inspiration from the Salem witch trials, this game aims to have quite a unique take… but it’s also very much set in the same universe as Death Tales. While Death Tales is considered to be the past however, The Witch Trials are set in the future.

Wow, Luc Bernard, that name rings some bells.
Was that the "developer controveries before the age of developer controversies" guy? I don't remember at all what it was all about but I remember there being something.

EDIT:
I recall one of his games was supposed to be on WiiWare but something happened and he went full on artist in distress mode. Or something like that.
Damn, I have really vague memories of some game that was supposed to happen...

EDIT2:
Oh wow, ETERNITY'S CHILD, that was it!

Eternity's Child was the name IIRC. It was a Wii game once upon a time published by Alten8 way back in like 2007. Eventually I think it became a WiiWare game and after many delays it came out on PC, and it turned out to not be all that good (despite a legit good Disney-inspired art style and soundtrack), and I guess due to difficulties the WiiWare version got canned.

Yeah, it was Eternity's Child he was known for. Without throwing too much doubt on this project, he announced a lot of stuff during the Wii era that didn't end up happening - there was also Rose Princess and Imagination is the only escape.

He seems to have a team together these days (with Arcade Distillery) that are making decent progress on Plague Road and Death Tales just entered beta on PS4, so I'm hopeful this will come together but we'll see.

Yeah, I can never get a good understanding of Luc Bernard. He's got a good group of 2D artists working for him and his studios (which come and go) but he promises games left and right, and games will go through name changes or platform changes or all kinds of weird history. There were two sequels and spin-offs planned of Eternity's Child (none happened), there was the PSP and then Vita game Reaper (didn't release), that holocost project Imagination is the Only Escape (??), but then Mecho Wars and SteamPirates worked out, and that Death Tales game actually released a beta (which apparently is some Pocket God side-game, though it also is a resurrection of Reaper?!) I can just never tell whether a new Luc Bernard announcement is good news or bad hype.
