Play in Polish with subtitles? Awesome dev support meant that you could do that in the first game.Beowulf28 said:I hope they actually get some half decent VOs this time. The ones in the first game were just unbearably bad.

What are you talking about? I thought the English VO was great!Beowulf28 said:I hope they actually get some half decent VOs this time. The ones in the first game were just unbearably bad.
Zzoram said:The Witcher 2 looking better than Dragon Age is probably in part due to being PC exclusive. Being able to assume 512MB VRAM dedicated to the GPU is probably great for textures.

If I could register it on Steam, Impulse, or GOG then sure.Castor Krieg said:Retail:

What are these guys' budget compared to other big AAA studios? Why does this game look better than what most AAA studio can output? I always assumed CDProject was a relatively small eastern European team working with smaller budget.

I don't see any problem with them selling the best games Bioware ever managed to make. They are keeping the memory of what Bioware once was alive.Catshade said:Amusingly, The Witcher 2 may be partly funded by the money they got from selling Bioware RPGs on GOG.

cj_iwakura said:If you buy it on GOG or what not, at least buy the boxed edition for the music and the short story. Though you should just get the book, The Last Wish; it's great.
Best song on the 'inspired by' OST.
-You've got balls, Witcher.
-You're apt to lose yours soon.

Alright, so which video card do I need to buy for it to look like this?
Serious question.

And yeah, those screen shots are frickin awesome. Like, my eyes are melting from pure joy awesome. It's going to be a long wait until May.

I am not even sure DA2 will sell twice as much. There are also other things to consider like how much did the development cost for each game and how many are sold on console and at retail because the return on those sales isn't anything close to what CD projekt will be getting for a single copy sold on steam or gog.mrpeabody said:And DA2 has always been butt-ugly, ever since the first screenshots came out. That won't stop it from being fun, or from selling 10x as many units as Witcher 2.
Fox318 said:Thats where I am leaning.

Publishers make more money on console games per unit, 'console tax' is $7, the price is higher than the first party margin.Castor Krieg said:We don't need to buy insane amount of games - DD and no console-tax means PC games are profitable at way smaller numbers. EA, Activision, etc. want the most amount of money possible, but that's not true for a lot of developers. And given how console studios are folding left and right, I would say going PC will probably get you better future than going PS3/X360.
Salaadin said:Both of them? Theres 2 soundtracks?
GOG only lists one.

Truly the conundrum of our generation. I still haven't decided. I even kind of want the ridiculous retail package.Fox318 said:Awesome. Now I just need to figure out where to buy the game. Steam or GOG?
