Took This in looking forward to TP.

Missing The black and white Link's Awakening (played a friends copy when it first came out never got my own) and I think my copy of Oracle of Ages is a bootleg :( back when the games came out it was the very first thing I bought on Ebay before I knew ebay was a retched hive of scum and pirated GB carts :(

OMG, YOU GOT THE ZELDA BOX!
I tried so hard to find that online but it was sold out :(
I really wanted the artbook and wind waker figures.

I hope they do another for Twilight Princess, actually I wouldn't be surprised, they can chuck in the Iwata Zelda discussions in and have half of the book done :P

Does anyone else buy these back in 1998?

someone needs to put a gun to miyamoto and kondo's head and make them actually be involved in a game together directly again.
it'll be like the beatles reunion we'll never get.
What?

That reunion is called Twilight Princess...

Miyamoto was really hands on if you've read the Iwata discussions.
Kondo said in an interview that he listens to fan renditions of Zelda music to see what fans like and what he can adopt into his style. He is working on TP and from the music we've heard so far, it sounds awesome!

Man, Jeff and Brad are not making sense to me; how can swinging the wiimote be just like a button? Pressing and flicking a wrist are two different things. The latter as most people have confirmed makes you far connected to the action. But yeah, whatever.

Hey guys. I made sure I got unbanned before this came out. I have to join in the discussion. Sunday! Can't wait!

nice, getting anything else at launch?

Thanks. This is the "bigger Twilight Princess version" I was talking about:

Damn that's nice

I have the original Metroid Prime one of those, looks like I will need to break into a Gamestop and get me the Zelda one.

When I worked for GS we used to give them away if some one asked for them and none of the employees wanted them, I need to find me a GS that hates Nintendo and snatch that ****er up.

I ended up ordering it from this weird site online, where everything was in broken engrish, waited a month for it but it finally showed up.

The sound track cd on it is awesome.

Isn't the soundtrack just a bunch of old tunes slapped together?

so yeah I listened to Gamespot's podcast yesterday and Jeff Gerstmann is reviewing Zelda and he said the review will be up on sunday.

I am a litte worried he complained on the sound of the wiimote speaker that it was of bad quality and that swords effects and stuff is coming out of it and that it sounded pretty bad. He also said the controls could have been done on a button. He didn't talk about the game a lot, but he didn't say anything positive about it :/

So I don't expect super scores from gamespot anymore.

After watching that travesty that Gamespot had last week. I wouldn't trust them anymore on Wii related stuff. They acted like they've never played a game in there life when it came to Zelda. They can go choke themselves on the nunchaku for all I care.

Yup, like people have said, lower than 9.0 confirmed. The guy had the balls to rate Majora's Mask an 8.3. I won't be surprised if he did the same with TP.

seems like he flatout disliked the Wii controls.

yeah I don't expect higher than 9.0 tbh.

still wished Kasavin reviewed this game...:(

Which is unsurprising to those of us who saw their horrible hands on with the hardware. His opinion is irrelevant.

yeah and their podcast really sucks. Jeff said he was almost done with Zelda and he mentioned a couple of bad things with the game and then gamespot changed topic. I was like OK! I really wanted to hear more input but they moved on like it was no big deal.

I trust Matt and Peer's opinion on Zelda TONS TONS more than the shits at Gamespot. Just read the IGN review when it goes up.

yeah I know, yet you know that the gamespot zelda review thread is going to be long :/

I suppose it'll do it great for the number of hits they receive when they score the game much lower than the rest of the media. :P

To be fair, The Hotspot is more about videogame news than about impressions of games. I think it's a good podcast.

Ever since On the Spot, I've been having second thoughts about Gamespot, including G. Kasavin. Do you guys think he has what it takes to stand up for certain Wii games? Do you, truly? Only time will tell...

Future of Wii debates :

Haters will say a good controlled game has bad controls, but actually they are not trying to adapt with it.

Diehard fanboys will defend a game with horrible controls using the statement above.

...Do you have to be a diehard fanboy to say that Z:TP has good controls? That seems to be the general consensus among most critics with the game.

BrandNew said:
Most likely. They really SHOULD just give it to Kasavin, as he's the ONLY guy there I agree with review-wise.

yeah seems like everyone agree that Kasavin is the best reviewer from gamespot.

No.
There are 2 sides on my statement (haters vs fanboys).

Can't believe Getrsman is reviewing the game. It was clear from that podcast he sucks at life. I don't even think Im going to read his review. If the most significant thing he can say after almost being done with the game is bashing the sound coming from the remote (really, who gives a ****? The low quality is expected) then what he thinks is really irrelevant. He also seemed bored as hell when playing it live, and managed to miss the same jump 3 times in 3 consecutive attempts. That tells me all I need to know.

Why would he event want to review the game? Give it to someone who actually wants to play it.

Jeff Gerstmann seems to dislike wii controls in general. the man should not be reviewing games on a console that he flat out has a bias against.

Whoa. What did you do with that avatar. Scary

you guys are a little too worried about this.

Once that TP disc pops in Wii, the online world will vanish.
