The Zelda TP pre-launch NON-SPOILER thread (READ BEFORE YOU POSTTTT)

That other thread escalated fast. Just a few hours ago it was was the old spoiler thread, you know some impressions here and there, maybe a new pic. But then BAM, just an onslaught of spoilers everywhere, who is the crazy person breaking all the NDA's?

I'd say it's likely, with the large influx of junior members and the large amount of assholes that were here already. I wouldn't rule out someone spoiling it with a thread title.
 
So when do they start handing out the forum bans? I'd like to be stricken for two, maybe three weeks so that I'll have time to start my epic adventure in a positively virgin state. Thy will be done!

Yeah, that's what Im surprised by. Last we were talking some about the 2nd dungeon and joking around. Then I came on last night and saw a very faded "equipment" picture. Dont know and didnt bother to see if it was fake or not. I come back and it's back to joking and just basic stuff. Go to FF12 for some hours and come back and it's "dkafj;dklad;f PIC! STAY AWAY! TAKE YOUR CLOTHES AND GET OUT OF HERE!". It just got crazy fast and Im not planning on going back. The end of the game will be posted soon enough.

BTW, how did that kid get away with breaking his NDA? It's all over the net probably by now, Nintendo shouldve gotten a hold to the guy.....

I never go there anyway. They're a step below GameFAQS in my book. Actually, this kind of thing was how I thought of GAF before I became a member here- lawlessness, posting in the streets, spoilers running rampant, and a below-average level of conversation, spelling and grammar (whoops, that last one is still true). It grows on you, though.
 
This is reminding me of the Snape killed Dumbledore spoilers being spammed everywhere last year. :lol
 
That's it. I have to put my foot down and it's now or never.

I'm banning myself from GAF until I can deal with it. I may drop in once or twice just to check on launch stuff and component cables info, but that's absolutely it. I need to get caught up on my homework anyway.

Somebody posted that shit right before
I got to the chapter where that night Dumbledore went to the top of the castle and Snape blasted him with the Avada Kedava spell.
But it picked up so much after that point I forgot the anger when I got off the computer to finish the book.

He is saying that the Nintendo rep that gave him his stuff told him it was okay to write about it and 'post away.' It was probably the Nintendo rep being uninformed and since his page isn't that popular, Nintendo probably hasn't noticed yet.
 
I like how we're all scared to know, but still secretly interested in how much the game is being ruined for others. Highly amusing.

Does anyone know why this guy hasn't been kneecapped by Nintendo yet?
 
Oh shit - still not spoiled, but I pulled an Amir0x and was tempted out of my mind to see certain screenshots that (thankfully) were in URL form.

I know some of those people didnt want to know big game spoilers(but accidentally got ahold to em) and would turn back the time if they could. I have a good idea of what happens up to the 2nd dungeon and given the fact it's been posted and talked about for the last 2 years, it's not really too bad spoilerish. But beyond that, it's all new territory, there's no screenshots or any released info for any of that stuff.

Whether it's items or story, if you know exactly what is going to happen, what items you are going to get, what abilities you can use, what you will be facing, why are you paying $50 for an experience you have mentally already completed? The only thing left is to pick up the controller and rehash it.

Don't see how thats a spoiler..We were already told by Nintendo we would learn em..

But if you guys say so. 24 days left for me..Im so gonna read the review :( Also..It seems IGN might not give the graphics a 10. It said that they "clinched" at some ground textures.
 
Man, after the Snape kills Dumbledore phenomenon, it sucks to be a Harry Potter reader.

There is bound to be a similar movement with Book Seven, probably hightened due to its being the final book in the series. I can only imagine the heights to which the mass spoiling will reach. I'm not so into it anyway I guess. I suppose I'll have to resign myself to knowing that Harry dies at the end.

I really want to speculate about the game in this thread with all my crazy ideas. The problem is that I'm afraid that I might actually be right about something and get banned. :(

Check out the newest story on thehylia.com, which is far and away the safest place to get your Zelda fix right now, with their color coded spoiler alert levels.

My added spoiler tags are really just for the ultra ultra ultra purists. Like names of early dungeons and something regarding the timeline.

Apparently Nintendo forgot to tell everyone the same story on the embargo of anything past the second dungeon in Twilight Princess, and I've seen a few pretty big spoilers surface about Twilight Princess that I am sure most people do not want to know. One topic on IGN was deleted because it was going too far, so the guy has now started a blog with spoilers up to I believe the fifth dungeon in the game. His blog has a pretty big spoiler right now, with images of the spoiler. It's something not seen yet or been revealed yet anywhere else.

Also, people are now going to this blog and posting spoilers on other sites without warning. GameFAQs is totally spoilerific right now, so I would avoid it like the plague if you want to keep the game a surprise. Also, a few of the Zelda fan sites, in their spoiler areas, have topics with titles that should be edited out and the spoilers that are marked are stuff that wasn't supposed to be spoken of yet. Again, until Friday, I can't answer anything, and I prefer to not answer anything really until then after I've probably played through the game twice. Yes, I've completed the game, and I am going for 100% now.

Oh yeah, my internet came back up...but it's slow as hell...and I think it's going to go back down. So until tomorrow, I won't have the issue resolved (tech guy coming).

Smiles, what part of non-spoiler thread don't you understand. Please stop hinting at whats being reported in the other threads. Yes, new techniques are considered spoilers.

Anyway, amazing all this is coming from ONE individual, who for some reason or another believes he is not under embargo or NDA, and feels the need to draw attention and post this stuff. You'd think someone who is in a position to receive free crap for reviewing would have the maturity, willpower, and consideration to think twice about this.

Im sure Nintendo has the capabilities to find out about this, and he even stated who is is and what paper hes reviewing on. Apparently he hasnt heard from them, and his rep told him he could 'post away'. Obviously some miscommunication, but I think if Nintendo would have contacted him he would have stopped. Not on the ball I guess. Id think they have some internet scouts or something.

Sad that he doesnt have the self-restraint to keep it to himself. Whether he likes it or not, the info will inevitably hit people who do not want it.

We are paranoid, and rightfully so. Shit everywhere is going up, and GAF is the only safe place at the moment. I knew this shit would happen.
