When I first heard about this, it was explained that the camera zoomed on her blue eyes to underscore the "genes"...I just finally watched the ad. Uhhh, no it didn't. They just made a pun using an attractive woman, I made the same genes/jeans joke thinking I was clever 20 years ago...
Here is our conundrum...say we "save America" and these people are back with more ammunition and more pissed than ever, if they are allowed to spiral out of control again, they will just create the excuse for Trump 2, we are dead. Both sides hate each other so much now, that nothing matters but shitting on the other. Life will have to get so bad first, we are willing to put differences aside. Many of us may not survive that.

I agree it is just a daft campaign but if it wasn't for idiots making this out to be a gateway for fascism then this thread wouldn't exist. Nobody would have even taken notice of it. It's more than Woke, it's just stupidity because it is so self defeating. Before even coming on here I was reading an article about a greater need for genetic testing for downs etc so parents can make a decision whether to abort and it was from a left wing news site getting upset about a pun on genes.
