I did RE7 in about 6-7 hours normal non rushed play through. It isn’t a long game at allI remember Resident Evil 7 going on for far too long. Uncharted 4 was the same. Just end already ffs!

I was given the complete edition on disc a few years ago but no point starting it until the PS5 version comes out.No. It's a reasonable length if you just do the main story. Some of the best stories though are from side quests.
Game still looks fantastic, but at this point I agree. Wait for the upgrades.I was given the complete edition on disc a few years ago but no point starting it until the PS5 version comes out.
I'm glad nobody cares about your opinion! I like my JRPGS long!!!JRPGs, RPGs and open world Action-RPGs should never be longer than 30 hours. Action games should never be longer than 15 hours (usually, even 10 hours are too much).
There are plenty of games to play if you want to play endlessly, either online games or games that have no real end like Football Manager or Civilization/Stellaris etc.
There's no need to pad story-driven single-player games that much.
True. Third act of Tsushima destroys the game, for example.
This is the reason I haven’t played any of their recent entries. I hate paddingAssassin's Creed Odyssey was like a 30 hour game dragged out to 150. One of the worst examples of padding I've ever seen.
Didn’t finish RE7 for that very reason. It was good but just fucking end at a reasonable point.I remember Resident Evil 7 going on for far too long. Uncharted 4 was the same. Just end already ffs!
Should've been an hour shorter, if not more.I did RE7 in about 6-7 hours normal non rushed play through. It isn’t a long game at all
I hate fake endings but didn't feel like The Witcher 3 had the problem. The pacing was a bit off mid-game but not the end.My friend said this about the witcher 3. Is it true?
I did a couple missions of act 3 until it felt like everything was a little calmer, did the DLC, then came back to wrap up the story. How's the DLC? Should I just stop what I'm doing and go right to the DLC to freshen things up?
Far cry as wellAssassin's Creed Odyssey was like a 30 hour game dragged out to 150. One of the worst examples of padding I've ever seen.
When it gets to Novigrad and the bits with Dandelion is where the game starts to drag, its fine after that thoughI hate fake endings but didn't feel like The Witcher 3 had the problem. The pacing was a bit off mid-game but not the end.
I loved DQ 11, and really would like to play the special edition, but I don't have that much time in my life to replay so much of the same game. The same goes with Persona 5 Royale. I love both, but that's just too much of a time investment for me.DQ11 for me. I enjoyed my time with it, but I've been holding off on a replay with the definitive edition just because I now know how long the game is.
Exactly. I have played the game through twice now and the Dandelion quest line is such a drag. When it gets to Novigrad and the bits with Dandelion is where the game starts to drag, its fine after that though
Yeah bro I'd say its only 6 months away and anyway can't see myself having time for the next 7 or 8 regardless.Game still looks fantastic, but at this point I agree. Wait for the upgrades.
I could have punched him more honestlyI punched Zeus in the face for like 10 minutes at the end of God of War 3 and I thought that was kinda excessive
Yeah, there are 2-3 missions too many in that game, and the cutscene pacing is annoying. It's the sort of game that will give you a cutscene, let you play for 10 minutes, and launch you into another cutscene. You feel trapped in the narrative.I love the game but still haven't finished it: Psychonauts 2. I was having a good time, but where I stopped, it just kept giving me cut scenes and kept going way past where I think it should have. I'll go back to it, but burned out on in.
Especially if you found out about the requirements to get to the added palace too late and have to restart the story...The same goes with Persona 5 Royale. I love both, but that's just too much of a time investment for me.
Hear, I'm just leaving Knowhere for the second time and the game is like "Ok, this should be heading to the end now... psych bitch, we're going hunting". I'm 15h in and while I'm having a lot of fun and I feel this is not a bad length at all for an action game, I can see the padding. That was my one complaint with Guardians of the Galaxy. Not that the game is bad, but the depth in its design/mechanics is not enough to justify its length. And I don't necessarily believe I would have noticed it as much had the game been shorter. In every other aspect though, it is still one of this year's best!
