Yes, Asian culture in general is very anti-racist. The Chinese loooooove the Japanese, and vice versa.

I don't know if your sarcastic or not. I hear pretty much everywhere that they are racists just as much as anybody when they are in their homeland...

Although what is annoying is when they cook and you could eat tons and they will still insist like mad that you eat more.
Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how well you eat) this is not exclusive to Arabs!

anyone who'd had the bloomin' onion wouldn't say that

Outback steakhouse is about as Australian as Olive Garden is Italian.

Both thought up by the same kind of people too.

Food, fashion, lifestyle, etc.
Cultural diversity is obviously great.

Now, let's list the things we don't like about other cultures.

Indian people. What's with the smell? Eww.
Vietnamese people. What's with the language? My ears!!
Whities. They're so boring. Meh.
Blacks. I hate how they're so good at basketball; I can't dunk :(

see, and i wanted to keep that joke going, but i couldn't bear the thought of someone thinking i thought outback was that great :lol

around here fazoli's offers all you can eat pasta with any of their sauces for like four bucks to college students. to which my retort is, "okay, but what if i just want one plate of good pasta?" it's amazing how often quantity is used as a substitute for quality in the food industry, particularly at that quick-and-dirty level.

When I was in college I ate Fazoli's all the time because it was so cheap and I hated every minute of it.

my friends did the same thing.

Yeah. I was so broke in college that it was either something foul like Fazoli's, Taco Bell, or Little Ceasers or eating at a buffet once a day which meant starving until it was time to eat and then stuffing yourself like a glutton and feeling sick since that was going to be my only meal of the day.

I'll stop the thread derail now.

I hit up Taco Bell every weekend or so. I know it's shit, but you know, for $3, I don't want to die when I'm done, and that's something special.

Serious question: what's the brown bread at the Outback? I've only ever had it there (my whole fucking family loves the Outback) and I think it's the most amazing thing ever. Name or anything?

it's a type of honey wheat bread flavored with molasses and rolled in corn meal before baking. how about a recipe? my mum is a big fan so i did some digging and made her some. and yes, before you ask, it tastes exactly the same.

Outback Steakhouse® Honey Wheat Bushman Bread

Dough
1 1/4 cups warm water
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons (1 pkg.) yeast
2 cups bread flour
1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon cocoa
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons molasses

1. Mix sugar with warm water, then dissolve the yeast in the solution. In five minutes the solution will begin to foam as the yeast begins its gassy dance party.

2. While the yeast is waking up, mix the flours, cocoa, and salt in a large bowl. Mix butter into the dry mixture with your hands. Make an impression in the middle of the dry mixture. Add the honey and molasses into the well. Mix the food coloring with the yeast solution, then pour the solution into the well. Stir from the middle bringing the dry mixture into the wet stuff, slowly at first, then quickly as you incorporate all the ingredients. You will eventually have to use your hands to combine everything. Knead the dough for 10 minutes on a lightly floured surface, then roll the dough into a ball and place it into a covered bowl in a warm place for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until it has doubled in size.

3. When the dough has doubled, separate it into 6 even portions. Roll each dough portion into logs that are 6 inches long and 2 inches wide. Pour cornmeal onto your rolling surface. Moisten your hands then rub water onto each dough log and roll it in the cornmeal. Arrange the rolled dough on a baking sheet and cover it with plastic wrap. Set the dough in* warm spot to rise for another hour or so until the loaves have doubled in size.

4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Uncover the dough and bake it for 35 to 40 minutes in the hot oven. When the bread is done, take it out of the oven and let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve the bread with a sharp bread knife and butter on the side. If you want whipped butter, like you get at the restaurant, just use an electric mixer on high speed to whip some butter until it's fluffy.

it's hard not to. if there are two things at which human beings seem very adept, it's making nice buildings and creating good food. makes sense i guess--both serve our interest by keeping us breathing. still, as much of a simpleton as it makes me sound, the world is really shockingly awesome sometimes when you step back.

But i meant Asians when they are over here. I don't know how they are in their own countries. My experience with Asian people here in Montreal Canada is top fucking notch. I simply never got troubles with them.

Asian foreigners are still racist, they just do it behind your back.

I'm in America and while I have met the occasional asshole Asian American on the whole and without getting into stereotypes, I find Asian Americans generally more relaxed or chill on average than blacks or whites on average and that is refreshing. Of course something like that is so anecdotal it really isn't worth mentioning I suppose but I did it anyway. ;)

my girlfriends dad is Chinese, and while he's very polite to me, I'm aware of the fact that he fucking hates that I'm going to marry his daughter because I'm white.

asian culture of age = wisdom and strong family/moral values.

It takes people far to long in life to realize friends/family is everything....
