This forum it's unfair to Pizza Hut

Sorry again, I somehow was under the impression the term is used worldwide. American style pizza is what we call extremely greasy pizza with really thick dough and way too much cheese- like the pan pizzas you can get at Pizza Hut. Again, I'm not saying you can't get good pizza in the US! The US is a diverse and huge country and I'm sure you can basically get any kind of food there. Should have made that clear with my first post, though. ;)

Well that style of pizza is closer to deep dish pizza, but I think they'd call it pan pizza. It's not really representative of anything other than itself. I tend to like more of what you linked before, but there's so many different styles of pizza here that I think anyone could be happy.

But why anyone would knowingly buy from a chain when there's much better local options surprises me. I mean yeah, bad pizza is still somewhat decent, except when it's Little Caesars. I had so much heartburn last time I had that that it woke me up in the middle of the night to throw up. Never again.

Pizza Hut sucks, just like American Pizza in general.

Only Italian pizza is good pizza.

I know it's already been addressed. but this photo could easily have been taken at literally hundreds of NY-area pizza/italian food shops.

Just had some tonight pretty good stuff no one does stuff crust like Pizza Hut. I live in NYC and I know what good authentic pizza is however every now and then you want something different at Pizza Hut certainly taste nothing like anything else

I'd say give Pizza Hut a second chance it's terrible but every now and then it fills a void
If it's shit then why give them another chance? Such a weird thread.

Maybe it's like heroin to Christopher. Heroin is terrible but sometimes you need to fill that void.

Every national pizza chain is trash. That's not being a "snob", it's being real. It comes down to which chain in your particular area happens to be the least trash.

Pizza in Italy was a big disappointment for me. American pizza is way ahead.

This thread made me want to eat some pizza hut today. I loved so much going there when i was a kid. I enjoyed immensely their breaded mushrooms.

What about the pizza buffet ? There's a huge pizza hut one and i stopped going because i felt kinda bad after it. I ate so fucking much.

The pizza hut slice here is kinda different than the one shown in the video. More soft.

I actually just had Pizza Hut for the first time in years, and I liked it. I really wanted wings, and didn't have a car to go get them, so I ordered wings from Pizza Hut.

And you know what? They were pretty damn tasty. Not the best wings I ever had, sure, but they came to me.

I love the pizza/sex analogy where "even when it's bad it's still pretty good." I eat pizza all the fucking time (maybe 75-100 times per year, honestly) and I can't really say I've had "bad" pizza but for maybe 20 times in my life. Pizza Hut is fine. People sure love to shit on stuff.

That's for damn sure. I haven't had CiCis in years, but even their garbage I wouldn't classify as "bad."

Maybe this forum would be more accepting of Pizza Hut if they gave away 20,000 coupons for free pizzas after no-hitters like Domino's does. :p

US and UK must be so different.
Pizza Hut over here (UK) is pretty much terrible, whereas Dominos is really, really good for a chain. Still can't beat a good local pizzeria, though.

Reminds me, my Dominos is doing any size pizza for £6.99 this week. The temptation is real.

Is Canadian Pizza Hut a bit different than American Pizza Hut? I always see Americans hating on Pizza Hut but it's probably my favourite of the big pizza chains

It's okay. I actually think Pizza Hut does by FAR the best thin crust pizza from all of the other chains. The rest do more of a cracker crust, but Pizza Hut has proper paper thin layers together cooked in oil. VERY good.

YES! This man or woman gets it. If you go to Pizza Hut and you don't get thin crust or stuffed crust, you're doing it wrong.

that's usually called napolitano here and there are plenty of places that do it very well in the US. and they're probably owned by italian immigrants. although nationality doesn't really have anything to do with anything.

Pizza Hut used to be awesome back when I was a kid. It's been bad for a long time though. I'll tell you what is good "bad" pizza, little Caesars deep dish. That fills the void when you want to be a complete fat ass glutton.

$10 dinner boxes are pretty great and enough to feed my family of 4 with left overs.
If I'm looking for quality pizza though Pizza Hut is at the bottom. I actually prefer Little Caesar's and that's saying something.

I love the Pizza Huts in India. Amazing variety that tastes like a tour de force of spices, herbs, sauce and bread. The crust was soft and moist with a very consistent texture. Easily some of the best Pizza I've ever had.

I say this as someone who loves "mom & pop shop" pizzas in Los Angeles. The USA Pizza Huts just don't even come close.

Edit:
Anybody saying Dominos is better should immediately be disqualified from judging pizza again.

Pizza Hut is fucking gross, it has a certain smell to it when is drive home from the store. No joke someone could hide a Pizza Hut pizza in there car and I'd know instantly what it was. I buy frozen heggies pizzas now, and it puts most pizzas to shame.

I tried their hot dog pizza last week and was in the ER mere hours later with what turned out to be a kidney stone.

Goodbye Pizza Hut.

Last time I had Pizza Hut I got so bad a case of food poisoning or salmonella from the chicken on it that I ended up unable to eat for close to a week and if I took anything more then a few sips of water at a time I would become like the LA beast after a gallon of Tabasco and turn into a fountain emptying myself into a toilet.

Needless to say that stopped me from ever having Pizza Hut again. I could not even lay down. The non stop stabbing pains were so bad. I ended up basically walking around and sitting every so often for almost that entire week. No sleep, No ability to eat and minimal ability to drink. Fun times.

I think Pizza Hug in Sweden is pretty okay. Pizza buffet for lunch is great value, 8 bucks for unlimited pizza and soft drinks can't be beaten. Also appreciate that they give you unlimited soft drink while you're waiting to pick up a pizza.

Because of price.

Local chains I don't do that often because they are like 3x the price of what I can get at Dominos/PapaJohns/PizzaHut, ratio wise.

The taste is decent to me and the price is much better at $6-$7 for a large.

The places around me that serve legit great pizza are expensive. There is one local joint that is sort of in between that offers prices comparable to chain places, but its a kind of a far drive.

On a side note, best cheese pizza I've ever had was in Greece on Mykonos.
