Sorry again, I somehow was under the impression the term is used worldwide. American style pizza is what we call extremely greasy pizza with really thick dough and way too much cheese- like the pan pizzas you can get at Pizza Hut. Again, I'm not saying you can't get good pizza in the US! The US is a diverse and huge country and I'm sure you can basically get any kind of food there. Should have made that clear with my first post, though.![]()
Well that style of pizza is closer to deep dish pizza, but I think they'd call it pan pizza. It's not really representative of anything other than itself. I tend to like more of what you linked before, but there's so many different styles of pizza here that I think anyone could be happy.
But why anyone would knowingly buy from a chain when there's much better local options surprises me. I mean yeah, bad pizza is still somewhat decent, except when it's Little Caesars. I had so much heartburn last time I had that that it woke me up in the middle of the night to throw up. Never again.
