Sonic 360 8,7,7,8
Still getting this.Jonnyram said:FFCC details
Director: Mitsuru Kamiyama (FFCC coder)
Char. Design: Toshiyuki Itahana (FFIX, Chocobo)
Lead chars are twins: Yuri and Cherinka
Up to 4 players
Vertical position affects battles (i.e. there is a Y axis)
There's a new jump command.
No crystal gauge.
Not full voice but there will be some voices in it.
Single player involves changing between chars.
Theme is family love and brotherly love. There's a story? Does that mean I can play this as a 1P game and not get bored?
Multiplayer is currently not Wi-Fi - Square wants you to play in the presence of friends (oh noes). Dammit, every DS owner in Australia is either <8yo or a hikikomori.
Not even confirmed if there will be Wi-Fi content of any kind.
Kawazu is not involved. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!

Hm, yesterday someone at 2ch spilled bunch of japanese 360 'rumors', including that one, as if one game's coming from Square side and other from Enix.reriel said:so, gamelabo reports that square has 2 games in work for 360

*sigh*
Well I thought it was another bs 2ch post with made-up stuff, but if that SQEX rumor is really written in Gamelabo mag, maaaaybe there's some actual truth to it...but probably it's still made up.Busty said:Interesting. Don't suppose you could post these rumours here, it would appreciated.

- there's another not yet announced JRPG to be published by MS
- around 10 new games by small/medium-size publishers to be announced early in the new year
- SQEX is developing 2 games for 360, one from SQ side and one from EX side
- there'll be another new (J)RPG from third party
- development of new Mizuguchi and Okamoto's games are going well
- Power Pro baseball will be on 360 and Live next year
- 2-3 new games from BandaiNamco to be announced early in the new year, along with release dates for Trusty Bell and Gundam OT

Chris Michael said:ugh... I'm starting to doubt the DS can handle a full-fledged 3D DQ like DQ8.![]()
Magicpaint said:It's your own damn fault for expecting the DS to produce visuals beyond its limit, how the hell can you expect it to handle 3D like DQVIII when even most RPGs on the PS2 weren't able to. Everyday it's 3D this, 3D that, your complaints are getting really annoying. Guess what, these visuals look about what people with rational expectations of the hardware expect it to look like! Perhaps even better for some.

Chris Michael said:I'm not even talking about the graphics. I'm talking about the overrall bigness of the game. But since you brought that up, I do kinda wish they used the DQMJ engine... I bet Level 5 could have expanded upon that wonderfully.
also, wow, so the 360 has 4 games whereas PS3 and Wii each have 2 games...? WTF is happening? DQIX to DS along with thousands of other SE games, 360 getting the most consoles support...
The world is turning upside down. Heh, actually this reminds me of when PS1 was getting so much support and Wonderswan was getting all the handheld support (because of Yamauchi though)... consoles ARE turning into handhelds confirmed? :lol
I really don't know... their upcoming DS stuff looks really amazing. I'd go even as far as to say I'm more looking forward to their games than Nintendo themselves.charlequin said:How come S-E is apparently 10x better at the DS than any other developer?

Busty said:The size and scale of the PS3 SE games compared to the 360's SE titles simply aren't in the same league.
If SE put the sort of time and resources into a 360 title that they have out into something like FF XIII then it's a valid comparison.
Magicpaint said:Talk about being too hasty to judge... nothing in those screens suggest the kind of scale we should expect from the game, they are mostly indoor screenshots.
klee123 said:The other problem is that PS3, Wii and DS already have the "big" games from Square. Unless they port some of those games to the 360, I agree that I doubt the 360 games would be as huge as the PS3 and DS games.
Pureauthor said:New boss fights for both KHIIFM and KH:CoMR... nice, I guess.
It's never going to get localized, is it.
Chris Michael said:Will we see that on the DS!? I think not good sir!
charlequin said:EDIT: Unrelatedly, would anyone have believed two years ago that right now the Xbox 360 seems to have the most potentially good jRPGs announced for it of any next-gen console? WTF, universe.
solarplexus said:I hope we'll see the Ninja Gaiden Sigma scans soon.![]()
Magicpaint said:I own DQVIII and need no visual reminder of the scale of that game. I'm more or less thinking it's foolish to dismiss the possibility of a bigger game than DQVIII, one could argue that DQVII was the bigger of those two games. So while it's wise to not expect anything as big as DQVIII, merely jumping to conclusions is silly, especially based on quotes from the creator himself.

Amir0x said:Heh, he's not saying the game couldn't be bigger - here 'bigger' being length of the game, or time it takes to travel from one end of the overworld map to the next. Here it is about scale and one huge connecting freeroaming 3D world. In this, as we can already see from the direction they're taking, I can safely say DQIX will not replicate. Simply because the hardware cannot handle it.
