Worst name ever, but we NEED SCANS OF THIS BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE DAMMNIT. This game should look and play incredible. Hopefully this is the main event of this weeks famitsu and there are many pages.

Let's hope it's not something in the vein of La Pucelle tactics...

Where were you guys getting the idea that ASH was moved to another console?

Neo and Jonnyram both posted (in the FFXII DS thread) that they thought it was based on a Fami rumor. Didn't seem likely given that Nintendo was the publisher, but eh.

Why would people care if ASH was moved to another console?

Unless they only own a DS of course.

Because the DS needs more SRPGs, as the system has a lot to offer the genre.

I wonder if there will be any confirmation of the Final Fantasy XII DS game this week.

It should be in the Weekly Jump coming out later... ducky said we might get leaks on the news/scans on Friday or Saturday.

Why would a tri-Ace game be at all like La Pucelle Tactics?

Well if it's not ASH, I wonder which game is being moved?
Maybe they're just cancelling the PS2 release of Godfather over here.

Woah woah hold up, so this is Famitsu right. This is a completely different magazine from Gamenext right? So Umbrella Chronicals will be the name, that article was fact!? The plot thickens.

Will someone go back and read that whole article again.

Its a Strat RPG... isnt it?

I know a couple of people who only play start rpgs on handhelds. A genre that the DS hasnt a lot of love for beyond advance war and AoE DS.

Pretty much. And if executed right, DS could be awesome for SRPG'S.

On a side note, wowow, TWO SE DS games announced in a week? :D

What was so horrible about Gun Survivor?

This is the first 'Light gun' type game for wii then, unless you count that duck hunt demo.

Wonder how well it will work?

PS2 | Virtual On

WOAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Sure Marz kinda sucked, but maybe...just maybe...this will be like the others!

*edit* oh wait, could this just be a new Sega Ages title?

*edit* *edit* They really should do a port of Force to X360 with online play.

I dunno. I bought the LEs of 1&2 and played a whopping total of 30 mins each with them. Reviews were pretty 'meh' across the board though.

The original star ocean's were 2D 3D......err.....yeah.

All I was trying to say was that I hope the tri ace game is a full fledged, fully 3-D, high production value RPG instead of a crappy 2D/3D game that follows old RPG precedents

I can't wait to see what it's like!

Finally, a breath of Wii info for Biohazard Umbrella Chronicles.

But it sounds like a really good Gun Survivor 2 in terms of premise (take game stages, attach shooting stuff to it).

I still don't get the Gun Survivor 2 comparisons. If you take RE4 and port it to Wii, it would control exact as how this game is described.

They could just be talking about using the RE4 graphics engine for it.

Not control wise, that part is fine. But if it is just mission stages where you only get to choose a single weapon set to use... thats where it gets "meh".

I'm with you. I liked it. It wasn't a great game, but it was definitely a simple but fun game -- the item synthesis was fun, and the interaction with the shopkeepers was great.

Amir0x said:
well, at least the DS game will be 2D which means it won't be hideous

Forget hideous. I imagine it'll look great. Gust does awesome work with 2D visuals and sprites.

Good point, but that was really never addressed in the article. I know it said there was an arcade mode and a story mode, so maybe it is not exactly like a normal RE game. That is the question right now for me, is it a normal style RE game, or how you described a series of missions. Who knows.

Wii

Midori hi no Tatsujin (Master of Green Days?)

That's not a Midori. That's En. They are pretty similar though.

En-Nichi no Tatsujin

Ennichi is a synonym for festival.

It's must be a compilation of mini-games.
