Thor: The Dark World Official Trailer

It's interesting that after two trailers they still haven't really shown any of the real villains in detail. Hopefully that means they're keeping stuff under wraps, and not that there's nothing interesting to show at all...

Is it weird that I think Hemsworth is just as good in his role as Thor as RDR is in his role as Iron Man? They both have completely owned that character.

Thought exactly the same. Did we even see Eccleston at all?

Anyway looks good, and Thor is actually my favourite Phase 1 film and its great to have Alan Taylor directing a film. Looks like Marvel are keeping their humour - makes them stand out compared to their DC counterparts.

Again we're not seeing any Disney logo or Castle. Is it safe to say we'll only get the Marvel logo at the start? 'A Walt Disney Company' text below the logo might suffice.

I like the art direction quite a bit for some of the shots, though this trailer still doesn't really tell us what the story is about or who the villian is supposed to be. I think the story thread of Loki's redemption can be potentially very interesting, but they'd have to pull it off in an interesting way to not be a cliched retread of past movies. Also I rolled my eyes at Natalie Portman and her shitty friends.

Mass destruction? Check.

A bad guy in a glass prison? Check.

Aliens/superheroes? Check.

Yup. Blockbuster material.

Hmm, I guess they didn't show the Comic-Con footage of BIG SPOILER
Loki cutting Thor's hand off

No, not at all. I think Marvel Studio did a perfect job finding the actor which suits the character. Unfortunately it took them long enough for Bruce/Hulk.

I personally like that I did not show any real story tidbits. Keep that for the release trailer or something.

He is in a mask in one bit and you can see the side of his face in another, but that's about it I think.

I've not read any background on his character but it seems Marvel are sidelining the villain somewhat, choosing instead to focus on Loki's 'redemption'.

The villain is
just an actor picked off from the street
, and the darkness
is a green screen.

Well, you did spoiler it, but you might want to add "BIG FUCKING SPOILER" in brackets beside it.

Wasn't expecting what I saw. My bad in the end.

Last shot is best shot.

More goofy drunk/boastful viking Thor, please. The coffee scene in the first one is the best thing Thor's done in these movies so far.

Disney is letting Marvel be its own entity. And really, theres is the only logo that needs to be shown at this point.

The first Thor movie is so underrated.

Its was good and had some very funny scenes with Thor in the modern world. Loved Thor in the hospital.

Movie seems much better than the first one. Portman is still a complete misfire. Loki is still good at being Loki.

Can't wait! Hyped

I thought it was coming out before November though. I might have been wrong on that.

That is my one criticism of The Avengers, not enough of jovial Thor. He was too serious and grim and didn't interact enough with the other Avengers.

I love what Marvel's doing lately, man. Casting for both Thor and Loki turned out to be impeccable. Portman not so much. I'll definitely catch this if not just for Hemsworth and Hiddleston.

That looked.....not so great. Maybe im biased since i fell asleep watching the first movie. Im also tired of loki. At least the visuals seem to be nice
