Watching that trailer with the geek-week "pow" filter xD

EDIT - aww it doesn't really comic-ize it. Just makes it look worse.

That Thor landing scene looked lame as all hell after how MoS showed how Supes lands and lift of flying, Thor just seems to land with no inertia nor looking like a powerfull being at all.

God damn, still looks nice.

See I thought just the opposite, I was thinking "hell yeah, Thor is showing the Man of Steel how a superhero really flies!".

Was that Stacker Pentecost I saw in a glimpse?

Yes, Idris Elba plays both Pentecost from Pacific Rim and Heimdall from Thor. And yes he is awesome.

indeed

But he lands and the ground cracks but there is no visual or sound to make it look like a powerfull God has landed, I blame the CGI or the effects in general in that shot.

The evil voice is no Cumberbatch.

And why is always London nowadays? CG London at that, i don't believe that's for tax breaks.

yeah i had my problems with man of steel but he definitely came off as a more powerful force. from the flights to the impact of his punches...to the collateral damage lol.

I don't think I'll ever understand the appeal of this character/series. First movie was unbelievably bad, the worst of these Marvel films by far. Nothing in this trailer was exciting or interesting.

Then maybe movies aren't for you if you can't see anything exciting or interesting in the trailer.

It's weird, I thought the same thing as you initially. Thor was and is kind of boring to me. But I rented the first movie and Hiddleston did such a great job with Loki that I'm going to see the second film in theaters because I want to see his Loki again. He's a villain that I don't really hate and that a little part of me is rooting for.

Says Odin, “She does not belong here in Asgard any more than a goat belongs at a banquet table!” Jane is aghast, exclaiming, “Did he just…? Who do you think you are? “ He replies, “I am Odin, king of Asgard,” which quiets her down, as she simply says, “Well I am… not a goat.” Odin replies, “I know very well who you are, Jane Foster.” Jane is amused, noting this means Thor talked to his dad about her

This is going to be terrible isn't it?

Art direction is amazing, at least all the non-midgard stuff.

I hope they don't waste so much time in bland as hell Earth this time instead of the gorgeous looking other realms.

Nice outfit, Stellan.

His character's not right in the head after getting mind controlled by Loki in The Avengers.

Alan Taylor says "We're killing Asgardians"

"You know, we are killing Asgardians in this movie," says Taylor inside the mag. "It turns out immortality isn't all that it was cracked up to be." Kyle explains that, "Asgard at the beginning of the first film was at a time of peace. Now our guys have been fighting for over a year, constantly. It's a time of war. When the Bifrost was broken at the end of the first film, Odin had to conjure a lot of dark energy and go through a lot of personal sacrifice to try and get his son back to Earth," Craig Kyle continued. "And it was a one-shot deal. If Thor didn't succeed, without the Tesseract he couldn't have got back again. And in our film, finally the Bifrost has been rebuilt, but during that time, when the cops were largely cut off from the rest of the universe, you had miscreants that came in from outside the Nine Realms, pillaging and destroying and causing havoc. So that's what our guys have been doing now - trying to put all these fires out across the Nine Realms."
