THQ sounds like they're struggling.
First Smackdown PS3 casualty now this.

It can't be easy trying to support 5 different platforms.

They have to figure out whether they're going with current-gen OR next-gen, trying to juggle both is simply not very feasible, even with huge teams involved. Developing games for current-gen certainly is no cake-walk, even if they're trying to do both, something eventually has got to give.

They also recently canned the Xbox versions of Avatar and Destroy All Humans! 2.

Why spend extra money to target 5% of the buyers?

Sales of other popular 360/PS2 games? The two seem like a good pair until the PS3 gets here, at least to me.

Like Tomb Raider Legend, which certainly didn't sell just 5% of the PS2 version.

I don't buy the "we cancelled it because it didn't look next-gen" statement(most companies haven't been bothered by that problem). Most likely, the developers weren't going to be able finish both versions in time for the lucrative holiday season, so rather than push it back to next year they're busting a hump to get it done on the PS2.
