Thought this was pretty interesting. I've bolded the one's that are video game related. I feel like Tamagotchi and PlayStation Portable are missing from this.

I apologize if old, I searched TIME gadgets.

Seems like a hard list to make.

I will say, I love ereaders. Really is superior to books in every possible way. Except the ones where you need to flip back and forth and make notes, or read PDFs or comics.

What the fuck is a Sony Trinitro? Never heard of it.

Agree with iPhone. Walkman should probably be #2.

Waaaaaay too early for Oculus Rift.

I don't know about the "every possible way" part. You can't buy them super-cheap used. Can't check them out at a library with anywhere near the convenience of physical books. Can't easily give them away or lend them. That said I am trying to read as many books as possible in Kindle form nowadays.

Sony Trinitro is similar to the Panasonic Ta.

Solid list. The Walkman, iPod, and iPhone should definitely be in the top 10.

Walkman should be #2.

I find that misspelling something innocuous into google image search seems to predominantly bring up furries, animes and ponies.

I should do a research paper on the subject.

iBook should probably be replaced with the Macbook Air.

I have a Nest and love it, but influential? Bruh. Put the Jambox in there instead.

The king where it should be

It's amazing to me when people try to deny it and say it didn't do anything special or new

While I love the Walkman, I disagree it should be higher.

The first four places are spot on.

Sony's Trinitron impact was truly huge both among the consumer and the pros, during at least a decade was THE best TV technology, unmatched. Basically every TV manufacturer tried to copy it, some of them even copied part of the name, like Toshiba's DiamondTron, just to be associated with the "pedigree" Trinitron had.

I also agree some of the mentions past half the list are kinda meh. The list should be 20 items long.

Where is the counting boaRd? The clock?

This reads like "50 famous gadgets from the last 15 years and a few token choices from the previous 30."
