It's not exactly a new concept. Plenty of games do it.
Plenty of games like what? Genuinely interested.

Because of course, sitting on your couch playing a console game is entirely different from sitting on your couch playing a big picture mode game.I sit in front of a PC all day. I have a gaming PC for "special case" games like Diablo 3, but 100% of the time if I have a console option, I will take the console option.
Pretty much, which is why they want to kill the open distribution of applications. They don't see revenue for our purchase of the game on a Windows machine.
They only see revenue from the purchase of the OS.

Are we ignoring that it's on the PC?
I am genuinely curious, can you name the plenty of games?

anyone excited cause this will have dedicaded servers ? its a nice change and i hope every mp game uses them.
Is PC not running windows? You guys are really sticking it to Microsoft buying it on their other platform.
Battlefield 3 is a good example.
Don't be intentionally dense. The point that people are trying to make is that if you have a PC this still isn't a reason to get a One.Is PC not running windows? You guys are really sticking it to Microsoft buying it on their other platform.

This is potentially a console war winning game.
So it is not coming on the PS4 because this game is not possible w/o the cloud power...umm..ok...oh but its coming on the 360 then...hmmm ... yeah sounds more like a money hat exclusive...nothing wrong with that though
And I hope BF4 has client side hit detection, because I don't like running into cover and still getting hit.

Yup. Its a big part of CoD's draw. I like Halo, but never got into the multiplayer because you had to really shoot somebody a good amount and it was difficult because everybody was jumping around and getting plenty of time to find cover. I understand it makes for a higher skill ceiling, but thats certainly not something newcomers are going to necessarily enjoy.
Seriously, chill with the hyperbole. Halo wasn't a console war winning game and if this is half the success Halo was EA will port it to the PS4 as soon as the exclusivity deal expires or just go multi with the sequel. That is a huge if by the way. Respawn is a new studio, led by some well established vets but still new, and trying to tackle features multiple other devs have tried and failed to balance well. Let's see some gameplay before our dicks get too stiff with excitement. This is potentially a console war winning game.
So instead of giving some money to Microsoft you're giving every dime to EA? I got it.
"says the game would be impossible without the cloud and wouldn't have attempted it."
The first of MANY MANY more statements to come.
I'm not sure how this is suddenly a reason to get a One. LOL it gonna take a shitload more than this to get me even close to purchasing that thing.
KZSF and done as far as shooting is concerned to me.

Mass Effect was published by MS, not moneyhatted.Moneyhatted. Think Mass Effect

Functionality wise and in the way they say they will use it, yes. A lot of people are just confused about exactly what the term means. So this cloud stuff, is it actually legit?

Not possible without the cloud but on 360 and PC?
Right...

It's pretty sad that it has come to a point where COD isn't considered newbie friendly enough. You survive longer than in COD. Making it more welcoming to newcomers

You can use the could on PC and 360 too, it's not platform specific..... and considering windows, all of them are microsoft products.
If COD:MW had been actually exclusive it would have been a console war winning game. Respawn has the capability to repeat that magic.
So what they're saying is PS4 is going to get a superior version 6 months-1 year later. So here's the exclusivity mention: They thought working on PS4, Xbox One and PC would prove too difficult for a small team, so they decided to focus on one console instead of two. (er...). "Not to say we won't [go multiplatform] in the future, but for our first game we wanted to focus on making the best game we could."
I'm still not buying into the cloud thing.
