Titanfall PC Performance Thread

I hope my Core2Quad / 4GB RAM / 560Ti can run this well enough at 1080p, but I dunno...

I can get a CD key for €36, and I have a 4-day weekend starting tomorrow. I might bite.

Anyone with a PC like mine have an impression?

you guys think I can run this at 1080p medium settings? or at least 720p? I'm ok as long as fps never drop below 30

AMD FX-4100 4 Ghz
GTX 550 TI
8 GB DDR3 RAM
Win 8.1 pro

I have 2GB 550 ti and to maintain a solid 60fps I have to run at the lowest everything @720p and medium textures. You can find some medium ground for settings and stay above 30fps though so the game is very playable on a 550ti but might not be the prettiest thing.

I'm considering jumping on a 750ti or R7 260x. Minimal price and they're both quite a bit better than the 550 ti.

Thanks for the info, what cpu do you have? Because mine is also pretty bad, especially for gaming.

Playing on a retina MacBook from 2012. 16gb ram. And the 650mgt or something.

Runs fairly well on 1440x900 to 1920x1200. Shadows off helps a lot. High textures is very possible. But you need to play with a controller. Using mouse and keyboard lets you feel the horrible performance too much.
It's still a great game though. But I hope they'll optimise it since bf4 runs really well :p

i5-4670k @ 4.5
GTX 780 @ 1220
8GB DDR3 @ 1800 CL9

With ultra textures on I am getting stuttering from time to time, probably because it uses 3GB VRAM... I am wondering if it will be fixed somehow? Even fully modded Skyrim uses less VRAM :(
This is with V-SYNC OFF. I can live with the tearing, but I won't tolerate input lag in FPS.

sanstitreubs53.png

i5 2500k @ 3GHz
GTX560

Pretty stable at 60fps except on a couple of maps like Lagoon.

Inconsistent for me. LOTS of stuttering happening, no matter which vsync trick I try. I run Titanfall at maximum possible settings, except for keeping antialiasing at 4x.

Intel 3770-K @ 4.5 GHz
G. Skill 16GB DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA GTX 680 (2GB)
Titanfall installed to Samsung SSD

I'm also running 2 BENQ 120 Hz monitors, one of which is dedicated to games. I tried both exclusive fullscreen and the windowed noborder trick. Still stutters.

i7 2600k @ 4.2 Ghz
GTX 780 stock
8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
Samsung 1TB 7200rpm hdd

60 FPS with everything maxed except AA(2xAA).

Really need a proper SLI profile for this, someone posted a decent one on the nvidia forums in the driver feedback thread if anyone is interested.

Also FPS limiter is broken if set over 60FPS :(

Did some FRAPS benchmarks today.
System specs and game setup listed on page 1, post #5.
Going to do some more but I really want to test Lagoon.

Is there any way to force a (lower) resolution than 1024x768?

My GT 330m needs an upgrade but now is not the time. If I can't force a lower resolution on PC, it will have to be the 360 version for me.

Edit: Screw the 360 version!

At 1024 x 768, I have most things on High (except for textures at Medium and shadows off). Heck, I even threw in a little texture filtering and 2xMSAA. Definitely playable on this card that I never thought would run the game.

Sooo gooood!

It seems I wasn't entirely wrong about Colony feeling weird either, I seem to get way more dips in that map than the rest of them, aside from the shitfest that's called Lagoon of course. Weird really, Colony doesn't really have anything going for it graphically, does it?

X4 940 @ 3.4
4GB DDR2 800
Radeon R7 260x overcloked pretty heavily
Win7 64

Settings:

1680x1050
Everything High
MSAA 2x
FoV ~80
AF 8x
Double Buffering

Results:
Locked 60fps on most maps, however, I do see it drop into the high 40s on some maps for a few seconds. Particularly in the beginning of the round.

No stuttering or any other issues. Very pleased with the results.

this game crashes for me at least once a day. the strange thing is that it happens randomly in-game. here is my setup:

7790
FX-4130
8 GB RAM

anyone else experiencing this. usually a restart helps but it gets annoying when i want to just get a quick game in.

I've only ever had the game crash on exit, never in game.

Intel i5/4200u Integrated GPU in an 8GB Ram Surface Pro 2

Titanfall seems to run around 28-35 FPS @ 1280x600

Definitely playable.

good lord how long did it take you guys to download and install this game? Seems so fucking half assed already. Regretting my purchase already. Currently im Unpacking titanfall audio...looks like itll take 30 minutes to Unpack audio.. What the fuck is this shit?

What's a quick and easy way to track framerate? FRAPS doesn't seem to work on my Windows 8.1 machine, and Afterburner doesn't seem to register Titanfall.

I'm playing it on a ASUS N76VZ laptop from 2012. It features Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM and a GT650M.

Settings

playing in 1080p with almost everything on High Settings, no AA, no VSync and now Shadows. Getting between 40-60fp in the game.

What kind of VRAM is your GT 650M? I have a N56VZ which is like N76VZ with a 15' screen.

3570K@4.5ghz, 780 sli never drops from 60fps with max settings @1080p and 4xaa + insane textures, runs and plays great but still looking forward to the sli patch though for 120fps

Cant get in games with textures on high on my desktop. Super annoying. Found out as well that even when playing on low. Both my laptop and desktop start lagging with weather effects or detailed distances

A friend of mine is having issues even launching the game. The exact same issue occurred in the BETA also, maybe you guys will know a fix? God I hope so...

So when double-clicking the desktop shortcut (or directly from Origin), the sync process appears and finishes and where the game should launch, the sync bar appears again as if he's quit the game. During this time he sees no error or no crash.

He has checked the event log and there are no errors relating to the problem. He has tried stock video card drivers along with beta drivers. He has launched the game with a -window command after the target, still no luck.

His specs are:

Corsair Carbide CC500R Black
4G AMD R9-290X Gigabyte
CPU i7-4820K
Asus Sabertooth-X79
16G Kit 1600(8Gx2) Corsair Vengeance
Samsung 840 EVO Series SATA3 500Gb SSD
Corsair CWCH H110
Antec HCG-Modular 850M
Logitech K290
27” 2ms Asus VE278H

We managed to solve this issue! So apparently the DirectX registry entry was broken. Weird that all other games worked fine but yeah after a repair, Titan Falls works fine.

For anyone with those pesky disconnect fits: set texture quality to medium. It'll work that way.

Bottleneck is ram. 4gb won't allow you to play on high. Guess I'm gonna look for a cheap 8gb set

Anyone know if there are any Beta NVIDA SLI drivers out there? I found some by Google(apparently the COD ghosts SLI profile works?), but have no clue if there safe or bullshit.

Depends entirely on res. I have 4gb, and I run 60fps on high. 1680x1050.

I get a LOT of stuttering with everything maxed out, even when i drop it to 1080p.

i5 3570k@ 4.5ghz
12gb RAM
GTX 780ti

Upgrade your computer bro.

I get lots of stuttering but it depends on what map. I sometimes just turn off frame counters just so I can not pay attention to the number.

Nothing official from us. If you want to try experimental profiles implement them yourself with NVIDIA Inspector. Do not download supposed "beta" drivers, especially if they aren't hosted on nvidia.com, geforce.com, or guru3d.

As stated publicly by Respawn, they are working on a patch to enable official SLI support.
