It doesn't have 0 story its just integrated into the mutliplayer.
It is an exclusive.
Anything relating to a PS4 port is wishful thinking/hints/rumors/trolling etc etc etc.

The strange gaf backlash against titanfall is almost as silly as the PR telling us it's the second coming. It looks great, why don't we all just wait to play it to find out how good it is?

I'm not sure if it'll be the next Halo or Gears in terms of cultural impact but I think it has a good chance to sell as much as games in those series. I imagine that casual gamers will be on board as soon as the first commercial with "from the creators of COD" airs on TV.

Bad Company was great.
Never asked for it though. Its was kindof a gift.
People bringing up the lack of single player are stating the obvious though. It will definitely have an effect, especially when comparing it to games like Gears and Halo. Nothing to get upset about.
Regardless of whether TitanFall is the next big thing, I'm positive the game will do just fine.

Gears was a big hit and genre defying. Although Halo did have a bit more of an impact but Gears was what every other 3rd person followed.

Or majorly up - played by yayers. To be honest, it's a mecha shooter. It will not be that hype. Keep wishing on it. Besides it's not exclusive to Xbox and probably will do better on PC than consoles. Period.

I always play the campaign in any given CoD first and then play MP.

I could see it being a killer app. xbox one version will be better than the 360 and pc is a different market. COD is better on pc but most play it on xbox.
It will be that hype, it will do better on console than on PC. Period.
That wasn't as fun as I thought it would be but it was twice as ridiculous.

This is just trolling all itself. It's like sure it's a timed exclusive now but what's the issue if it comes to PS4? What will make the difference? Why is it wrong for it to come to? See there's port begging which no one is asking for since it's coming to the 360 and the PC which if anyone has either, won't be missing out.......
And then there's just not wanting it on another platform to have something to brag about. Regardless if it's on ps4 or not, that doesn't magically make the game the better than halo, CoD or BF. It's still a mecha shooter that has absolutely no evidence that it will be able to beat army shooters as shown by other games like it.

This is what I've been wondering especially when it comes to Call of Duty. I get the impression that the console versions sells a lot more than the PC version especially given how popular it is among casual gamers.

No, I don't think so... Whatever they say, Halo and Gears became so much popular because the single player, the characters, the background, the story, etc. Especially Halo. Since Titan Fall don't have any single player, I don't think it can replace Halo or Gears. But I think it might be the new COD.

Did you see Zampella's answer when asked by Keighly, "So Playstation fans are gonna have to wait"? Zampella's reply was "Yes".
The game is coming to PS4. It's just a matter of when. I guess it's always possible Microsoft could pull out the checkbook again though, and change that.
Xbox One will probably move less units than PC and Xbox 360 because the install base of the Xbox One will be really low.
Regardless, the point is if anyone wants to play Titanfall there are 2 other platforms to play on.

How many multi-player focused Mecha Shooters have beat Army shooters? Saying that it's all of a sudden going to be soo big is wishful thinking isn't it? I'm speaking realistically. All this is is Xbox One fans trying to make a big deal out of a game that isn't all that to begin with. I beat NBA 2K14 might sell more than it.

It's Gearing up for it, but Halo if I know.
I'm not in the "for sure" camp but I will be glad to offer some speculation:
1) it's not a Microsoft title, it's an EA game.
2) Mass Effect WAS published by Microsoft and it came out PS3.
3) Bioshock was an Xbox exclusive and came to PS3.
4) they could be playing coy in order to stave off the ire of the PS fans, but no one is Respawn has said flat out that it wasn't.
5) CBoaT.
Those are the three reasons I have for you why people are sure that it will come out on PS4.

That aside, I think this is a test to see if the title will resonate on the Xbone, although an unfair test, as it is a timed exclusive with consoles in mind.

PC was always available for other titles such as the original Bioshock and it still helped moved some 360's. If this game ends up being big i could see it moving xbox one's.

It will be that hype against what? Sorry but I'm not seeing this TF hype that everyone is huffing and puffing about. On a worldwide scale, I see It doing good in Japan, America, and Europe but it's not going to step over army shooters. It's going to slowly phase out
I'm getting the PS4 and I think it's going to be huge. So much for that theory.

Do you know why the game got so many awards at E3? Because the people that PLAYED it thought it was amazing. Its made by the same people who made the most popular gaming franchise to date and it has the backing of EA.
And yet you don't think it will be big? What's your argument that it won't sell really well? And I'm sure some XB1 fans are holding onto the game for dear life but that's irrelevant. The game will sell blockbusters regardless.
I dunno. I was just saying the opposite of what you said but applying the same "logic" that it's fact.

I don't. PS4 or not I highly feel it won't. People will play and then get bored because it won't be that competitive. Double jumping? Doesn't beat a drop shot, the quick scoping crew and whatever weird terms these army shooter gamers talk about. I just don't see it at all. The only way I will feel confident is if there was an mecha shooter just like it that was just as huge for me to put faith in it but there really isn't. And the trends don't lie.

I think it will be huge. People will purchase new consoles to play it and that will keep them active on Xbox Live for years to come.
If the rumors are true and Microsoft did only secure one year of exclusivity for the game, I think it will still end up being a wise investment for its platform. Eventually, a game like this will supplant Call of Duty. People can say what they want about what the mainstream wants these days but I can tell you that my tastes slightly more hardcore than the mainstream gamer's and I'm itching to play something new.

in terms of fps gameplay, prolly not. halo did revitalize alot of components when it came out as a overall
Titanfall is stuff we've seen here and there and trying to make it work in an interesting package

And so what? An E3 award determines how great a game is now. Those people played it, that's not an entire bunch of fresh gamers who got off playing CoD and BF. They are not the majority and you are highly forgetting that. BF players aren't ditching that and CoD players are DEFINITELY not ditching that either.
It will sell, of course it will but it's not going to be this hype game everyone is portraying it will be. I don't care if it's coming to the ps4 or not, I just don't see a mecha shooter being the best thing since the atari.. Definitely not.
Me too! Online is secondary to me. I think EA Microsoft are aiming at people other than us though. The COD crowd, the ones who rob themselves of the single player fun in these type games,very silly but a ton of em do that. The game should be 40 bucks top since its missing a campaign.
Fair enough. I do remember a Titanfall dev coming here and explaining why they went with Xbox One in the first place: dedicated servers (which kind of explains why it's a PC game too). So I think it's VERY unlikely that Sony will get Titanfall in time for it to matter (if at all... i wouldn't want to wait a over a year for a game that my friends are already enjoying).
Killzone will never be a powerhouse franchise but it won't fail. I also think Destiny is going to be huge.
