Synopsis:

The film consists of four vignettes, one of which a husband (Allen) and his wife (Davis) travel to Rome and meet the family of the Italian man their daughter is going to marry. Another of the vignettes will feature Benigni as a man named Leopoldo who gets mistaken for a movie star. A third segment will feature Baldwin as an architect from California visiting Rome with his friends. In a fourth segment two newlyweds go to Rome in order to visit some relatives but instead get lost in the city.

To Rome With Love arrives on June 22nd.

Wood Allen film: day 0

I don't think it will top Midnight in Paris though

probably not. MiP was like a whimsical fairy tale with science fiction and the perfect amount of melodrama added in to give it some flavor.

Little trivia, the traffic cop was not part of the script, he was discovered by Allen when he was already filming. Allen was fascinated by his movements and decided to incorporate him in the movie, as a sort of narrator.

Can't wait for this as a big Woody Allen fan. The cast is so good - plus Woody Allen acting in one of his films again!

this isn't even the second thread about it. There was a thread when it was still the bop decameron. Regardless, a thread with a trailer is the best kind of film thread.

They were good together in Juno, so I hope the spark is still there.

Have they been together in anything else other than Juno and Kick Ass?

This looks like yet another frivolous Euro wankfest from Allen. Will watch it sometime down the line.

I love the man's films, but if putting rich American tourists on foreign locations that involve a quest for self-discovery and romanticism is the formula he's sticking with, then it pains me to say that Woody has jumped the shark. Will still watch, for sure.

Did you watch the trailer?

The comedy seems to be really corny, but it could also just be how the trailer's cut.

[edit] How can anyone hate Penelope Cruz? And she looks fantastic in this. And speaking Italian. Molto sexy.
