I am level 13 now. Is there any guide on what to do with all your gear? I have loads of guns I don't need and I usually just dismantle the items. Is it better to sell them to vendors?

Kind of lost here on what's the best way of disposing stuff.

I checked the weapon vendor and oh my the prices are tough. A nice blue SCAR-L would instantly wipe all of my earned credits. I guess continue with the guns I have and use the ones I obtain via quests until I reach level 30?
Oh and should I even bother upgrading my current guns or is it not worth it due to low level weapons/mods? Loads of mods in my inventory (that I dismantle most of the time to free up space).

My guess is that it's best to deconstruct. The mats you get from a level 1 weapon can be used to craft level 30 weapons. I've been deconstructing everything. The blueprints you get from side missions can be very useful for leveling up. I got a blue level 10 M4 and crafted it for free. It was a huuuge upggrade over anything that dropped and/or mission rewards. Very helpful.

Also, can you not craft purple gear? I can only make green, blue and yellow gear.

You're close enough to the top of the first tier for Dark Zone, so you can go in there and farm some blues to sell to vendors for cash. The game offers crafting as a way to catch up as you progress through the levels, but you'll find that you'll want the cash more than the materials in the medium-term because of gear recalibration if nothing else.

Where do I get Dark Zone keys? I've spent most of my in-game time there and I don't have any. I shouldn't have activated those UPlay ones - kind of silly that they expect you to hold on to those for 10 levels (at least) before you can open a chest.
You get keys off elites and other players.

Not all DZ chests are locked by level. There are chests you can open with a key from DZ level 1.

You can leave redeemed rewards at the vendor until you need them.

You get them as enemy drops. Don't worry you will get a ton. There is no point in worrying about dark zone before you are lvl 30 anyway since all the loot you get before lvl 30 is obsolete the second you hit 30.

Also holy shit the game has 110k concurrent users on steam right now and growing.

They drop randomly from enemies.

You can get purple blueprints when you clear out all the side missions of an area.

Oh wow I was wondering what blueprints are good for. I guess that boat sailed because I got 2-3 blueprints 5 levels ago. They are probably useless now. Good to know though, will keep an eye out for them and check the ones I have the next time I play.

I don't think I'm ready for the Dark Zone, at least not solo. Will most likely get to level 30 first by doing all the PVE quests and then team up with friends and go to the DZ. I'm no fan of PVP so not sure if I enjoy it there.

At level 13, you'll be at the top end of the level grouping. And people rarely kill each other there anyway, since as someone else said, there's no incentive for going Rogue other than to be an asshole. And even then, the assholes will be at level 30. I was able to replace some of my gear and make like 30k credits playing for a couple of hours in the dark zone at level 24.

wait, what? pheonix credit nerf? what have I missed?
Enemies drop less credits now. It's like Bungie and the loot cave all over again!

last night I was playing in a group way over my level and they pretty much carried me through a story mission, but I was loving the EXP.. but as soon as we left the mission they were all talking about going to base and fixing their gear, and I just shot one random enemy in the street, causing a HUGE 20 minute firefight where I was getting EXP like a motherfucker and literally laughing so much I was waking people up

What should I do to level up faster? Redoing already cleared missions on "hard" does not seem to be it, although those runs come with the occasional high level item.

At least they gave us a reason to run all 3 daily missions now to get a good amount of Phoenix credits. It was pointless before and I never really bothered with them. Running through a daily on hard is just like in Destiny. The challenging ones are more like heroic strikes. Completely manageable but the enemies tank a lot of bullets so it just takes longer.

but now I love it. Had so much fun in DZ last night. I didn't follow alpha/beta so had no idea what to expect but bought the game anyway. Figuring things out on my own. I was in DZ solo fighting mobs 3 levels above my own. I here foot steps I turn panic and shoot it's an agent I'm like oh shit stop shooting and before I could even say anything he wrecked my shit. After that though I went back in and there was agents running around everywhere and we helped one another extract stuff. If there was a rogue it just became a hunting party. It was crazy to see complete randoms have each other's back. It was like an unwritten code of conduct, definitely different than any other shooter I've played. Also how do I get my DZ gear my box is full, am I blind?

Your DZ stuff is under the Extracted tab in your stash.

But if I die I lose my weapons/gear, right? I don't know how the DZ works.

Felt the same, at least during beta. It didn't do it for me but I kept finding myself thinking of the game and wanting to play more. Got a little time in last night and now I'm itching to play more. I have some complaints, such as the overall lack of character appearance customization, but the game feels tight and I am glad I gave it a second chance.

Now to just find the time to play...

Just started playing last night. Enjoying it, though I feel like I'm missing something with the crafting. I'm breaking down items that say they're giving me fabric, but when I go to construct a blueprint that requires fabric, it says I have 0/2 fabric. What am I doing wrong?

You have to extract your drops from selected zones on the map. But at low level there are very few trolls, so as long as you can deal with armored enemies on a consistent basis, it's a good source of "catch up" loot or currency.

You need to combine/upgrade fabrics. I assume you have green quality fabrics and the recipe requires blue ones. Combine 3 greens to make a blue fabric at the station.

Different fabric rarity perhaps. You can trade in greens->blues, blues->etc.

Yeah, but I am currently under level requirements for any main mission that I have not cleared. I should probably try them anyway, I guess.

Both side missions and Wing missions give a lot of XP actually, edned up capping before playing the lvl25 main mission

I've seen people saying this game is bad solo but fun with friends. What about randoms in this game?

How does it all compare to Destiny?

I want it because I had a ton of fun playing solo/with randoms in Destiny, so I'm hoping to get a similar experience here. I'm otherwise not much of an online gamer. Basically I want someone to tell me I don't need a group of friends to find some this fun.

I really dont know how people aren't reaching 30 by the time they finish the story. I'm 19 I'm a 15 zone right now lol just taking it slow and steady, doing all encounters and side missions in an area than doing the main mission. Gonna focus on collectibles later on in the game.

Also how do you get some of these crashed drones am I supposed to shoot them or find a way to the top of the building?

So confused on how the daily missions work. When do they reset? Why is there only one mission showing I can get rewards from it, and it's the challenge mode? I haven't even attempted challenge mode yet.

Well, maybe 10-15 PC was way too much per named elite kill, but come on. Reducing the amount to 1-3 PC is ridiculously steep. Why not settle for like 7?

Having to kill 50-100 named elites to get ONE blueprint is way too much :D
Yes you can do challenge modes and dailies but I don't want this to end like Destiny: Log in: do daily , log off, not even one week after release of the game.

Ew that does sound very grindy but makes sense. Hope they bring it up to 7.

Can people post DPS/Health/Skill Power if you've done the challenge? It'd be super helpful for my friends and I to know how far we are away from being able to tackle it. TIA.

Pretty sure you can't right now. They haven't talked about gear score all that much yet.

The first incursion says it has a recommended gear score of 150. All my gear is purple lvl 30 or lvl 31, except for one purple lvl 28 armor.

A guess:

gear score = Primary Weapon lvl + secondary weapon lvl + sidearm weapon lvl + (sum of all armor Lvls)/3

It's gotta be some kind of weighted average anyway.

This is the best game to play with randoms in my opinion. Nobody wants to fail, and help each other out. Good stuff. On that note just spent 45 minutes plowing through half of a challenge mission with just one other person because the others disconnected. It was feasible but was taking so long. Before the last encounter thought I should invite someone to the group to help us out. Turns out that restarts the mission! I should've expected that because they want you to put in the work to get loot but it was still frustrating to have all our progress we just made in the mission wiped. That's a warning for anyone who gets the same idea lol. Actually I think it restarted, not sure, the other guy quit cuz he thought so , but we might've been able to proceed, anyone here have experience with this? I've only now started doing matchmaking since I'm level 30.

But what about the weapon I have equipped etc? Do I lose that one. Or is it just the gear that I loot in there and have to extract before using?
My inventory is safe?

Quick question....

Not long started playing the game, love it. I got the season pass today (uk version) and was hoping it had all the outfits included, specifically the firefighter outfit, but it didn't.

Does anyone know if you can unlock the special outfits (firefighter, police, hazmat, etc) by playing the game or are they download only?

You only lose your contaminated (found in the DZ) loot if you haven't extracted it yet. The gear you go in with is safe.

They're not found in-game, only via season pass (at a later unknown date) or the Agent Origins code thingy from pre-launch.

edit: sorry I misread your question
