So I spent last night grinding to DZ 30 from like 26 or 27 (Joined a couple of dumb groups, accidentally shooting another group when it's 8v1 (2 groups of 4 versus 1 boss, mind you) so it's hard not to hit the boss. They did accidentally and we died rogue and I lost like 6k exp. So the journey to 30 was rough with a couple of wipes.

I finally hit DZ 30 and was excited to buy stuff, but then I saw the High End and now I need to be 50?! So 30 is pretty much worthless since purples drop left and right once you're at least Normal level 26, when I noticed purples dropping all the time.

Myabe some decent rolls on DZ purple stuff sometime, i guess.

No game has delivered that level of atmosphere for me in a long time.

And that's just the PvE layer of the game before we even think about the dark zone.

Wait until you get into the DZ.

I spent 1 hour by myself trying to extract my loot and every time I was almost ready to extract a wave of NPC's came out and wouldn't let me do it. Finally when I was almost dead with no ammo (had only my pistol) a couple of players came and help me, killed the rest of the NPC's and here I thought: "Oh shit they will kill me and take my loot!" But they just went on their merry way. Anyway I was able to extract and crafted myself the Damascus gold pistol. This game is fucking amazing!

This game is way to punishing as it is now and mistakes can be made and some are also baiting by walking infront of you when your shooting NPCs. Hopefully they either change the way the Rogue system is set up, like a confimed kill of another play makes you go Rogue, not a few shots or just make the PVP less punishing if you die as a rogue.

That wouldnt work, it would be way to unfair if you start attacking me, dont go rogue and I kill you in self defense and I go rogue or I die.
 
Anyone at max level chime in on how shotguns are performing later on? I'm currently level 19 and they seem to be getting less and less feasible as a weapon choice. SMG's seem to make them utterly redundant, they also seem to benefit from mods a hell of a lot more too, +mag size and what not goes a lot further on my AUG than any shotty. Regular goons get cut down just as fast by smgs at better ranges and dangerous elites will utterly shred me to make them practical in the close proximity you need to be in to use one. Can one reasonably stack enough HP and defense to make them viable later or does it just get worse as it seems to be doing now with enemy damage having faster and faster kill times on you? Using the riot shield to close distances helps but its not a good solution in quite a few scenarios and more often than not I'm better off keeping the shield up to tank for marksman/smg users.

DZ03 if you are lucky to get there. This is assuming that if you are level 30 on the outside and level 1 on the DZ the enemies scale with you. If not you will level up PRETTY fast. Have fun!

You might have shot them literally as their rogue timer went to 0. Tough one.

The hell.

Ubi US? When I didn't get the pre-order bonus, I did the whole "Ask a question" bit, got a response in two days asking me to send in a screen shot of what's available in my reward vendor. Sent that in, and within 3 hours got another response that it was manually added to my account (It was.)

Need to start completing side missions, they actually give quite a bit of XP. Also encouters help, but not nearly as much.

My DZ rank is currently 20, but I thought DZ rank didn't have anything to do with what enemies you come across.

I dont think it does, although I could be wrong, I mean they are all level 30-32 depending on your zone.
 
Not sure I like how high Midas makes me crank Electronics up at the expense of Firepower, but I finally got gear that let me activate its talents last night.

it was nerfed on saturday morning

that "trained" talent is currently disabled in the game on all weapons

If you can get your DPS to about 80k or so you should be ok?

I've done the challenge modes every day since hitting 30 with not much trouble. (Well it's really fucking hard but that's by design) oh and last night the game glitched after beating Hornet twice! We beat the reset countdown by 5 mins. Lol
 
OK, so this thread was going wild with Red Pandas. What's up with that?
I'm guessing it's an Ubisoft thing?

I am very curious what are your stats/items atm ,when you never visited DZ.
I stopped on level 19 and currently rank 32 and I am quite happy with what I have extracted for those 32ranks from DZ.Also the DZ vendors sell quite nice purple items which are 19/30.
 
Fell like doing some DZ stuff but don't wanna go in alone and definitely not using MM after yesterday. Ended up joining a random group only to be kicked near extraction point and killed. Didn't had anything good on my anyway. Hope they enjoy the blues I picked up for mats. Bastards.
 
Not sure what kind of stats Massively had in mind for Challenge mode, I completed two but the daily today is insanely hard. I'm at 86k DPS, 60k HP and 25k Skill Power.
 
I'm having fun playing through the missions on my own. Haven't played with anyone yet and I doubt I will, probably going to finish all side stuff and missions and put this game away until the expansions. DZ isn't for me, neither is the grind, so I'm glad I was able to enjoy the game like this.

And how do you get to around 80k? I think I'm only like 45-60. Right now

Today's daily is a bitch, the biggest thing is stunning runners every phase and making sure you take them down as a team. Use the sticky bomb stun, one shot gunner can wipe a team. Also make sure people are pulsing and using the cover talent to increase damage and armor on cover.

We did it last night and finished the last half with just three of us.

People in groups that go after solo players that haven't been messing with anyone are scum. I usually play with a minimum of 3 people and we made a personal rule to never mess with solo players. Even 2 is pushing it.
 
Did anyone else grab the accompanying book "New York Collapse"? Looks really neat, but I haven't sat down to read it in full yet. Has anyone gone to the locations in the book in-game yet?

Pretty tired of venturing into the Dark Zone only to run into bands of 3-4 rogue teams killing everyone in sight.

I started dark zone farming and running the hard missions both dropped purple upgrades here and T there. I even had a hard mode level drop a high end. Also spec DPS with mods as much as you can. If your Health is like 50-60k and you play smart you can do it with a good team.

So even rolling solo can be fun. I really wish there were more players in the DZ.

Thing is, there is no way to get 100k + damage without getting phx points / high end loot from challenge modes. I guess you could get yellow drops from DZ but I have never seen them. I think we have to farm easy challenge modes to get gear to be able to do the rest of them. The 30 phx points from daily hard modes will take a long time to get good gear.

Edit. Unless I am just really unlucky in the DZ. I have extracted maybe 100 items at 30 and I have 55k dps. No high end drops either.
 
Anybody else still having issues collecting outfits (hazmat, or the 4 agent costumes from the ubi site before release) from the rewards vendor? I have all 5 of those outfits redeemed and "installed" but never got them.
