I totally love the atmosphere in this game! There are so many little details that it I'm enjoying just wandering off and seeing what I find. Here's a look at the Xbox One version with some stuff I captured. I tried something new so I'm not sure on the quality.

This games mechanics almost encourage this type of stuff. I felt like the DZ was one huge troll zone, it's like Ubi realised most people on the internet like to annoy each other, post shit about each others views and generally want to argue, so they made a game zone around it.
 
I know people get mad at servers being wrecked on launch day for online games but I have read/listened to so many different developers discuss the issue that I just don't even how it would be solvable. There have been some exceptions like Bungie who has numerous years of experience crafting games with a multiplayer focus but when this is an issue that almost always happens due to do the volume of players trying to log onto the servers I don't know how you could really fix it before its released, and I doubt that Bungie is going to share their secrets as that's just not really something devs seem to do most of the time.

I'm probably wrong but I would imagine the issue that effects games on release like this might be comparable to DDOS attacks which also seem really difficult to prepare ahead of time for.

I got stuck early yesterday after the servers first went up. After completing the precinct mission, I didn't have a way to continue. I manually walked to the top left of the Brooklyn map, through the grey coloured gates to the Section marked Ferry on the map. When I passed through the final gate, the cut scene started and I moved on to Manhattan.

This may help. I had no icons or way to move on, but this worked yesterday.

TO ANYONE STUCK ON BROOKLYN AFTER A CRASH I CAN CONFIRM THIS WORKS!!!

Just go to the ferry section and look to the chopper landing site. It will be behind a closed gate. Just look out for the smaller door on the right. You will get in the landing zone and the cutscene will start.

So is there a GAF community on PS4? I am looking to group up, I don't have a mic right now but from what I played in the BETA you don't really need one to enjoy.
 
Didn't run into any server issues here. Only technical problem I had was that a power surge or something tripped the house's mains breaker at about 4am and cut the power to everything... And I'm pretty sure I can't blame Ubisoft for that one.

Got to level 8, all three wings unlocked, and a couple of upgrades done thanks to some side stuff.

I haven't seen a single goddamn scarf yet though, and that's really starting to bug me.
 
Bah kinda salty I'm on vacation so won't be able to play this til the 24th.

Although it's kind of a blessing because by then, we'll hopefully know if the PVE content is viable in the long run.

I liked the DZ stuff from the beta, but probably not what I'm looking forward to the most.
 
Has anyone managed to make a female which doesn't look really ugly? Even face 4 looks okay in the creator but looks completely derpy in game.
 
ummm so... a group of players are just huddled around the laptop in the tutorial for the verify agent thing, and it's not working?

If you had great times with Destiny, no worries. That's cool.

But my statement is literally true for me. I think there's infinitely more depth here and i prefer the whole game's structure - as well as the theme/universe.

Within 60 minutes of playing Destiny all i could think was 'this is a bit flawed' and then 'i've made a huge mistake'. I tried to enjoy it for another 20+ hours, trying all sorts of different things, but it never worked.

Don't Alt+F4. The black screen with sound is a loading screen. It has some super long load times while the servers are being hammered. Took mine like 3 mins on black screen.

Yeah I've had a few 3 minute long black screen loads that seemed like freezes but weren't.

No I think they mean your statement about playing two hours, and it having content up to the eyeballs.

Since there is limited player collision, you can actually prevent someone from going through the animation to trigger the laptop. Happened to me too with 20 or so new players right in front of the table.

Possibly.

I was skeptical until i scrolled over the whole game's map. Place is massive. And if the first areas are anything to go by, there's detail packed into every inch. (Passive content is content as much as missions.) (And Destiny had 0 passive content in-game.)
 
Impressions seem all over the map on this game so far -- from "fucking amazing" to "meh", more so than any game in recent memory. Getting my copy tomorrow so I'll form my own opinion, it's just crazy how much the experience varies from person to person.

Once you complete the Madison hospital mission can I just walk back into the building without restarting the mission again?

There's a certain area in there that I want to enter that I couldn't during the mission.
