Tom Clancy's The Division |OT| Empire State of Emergency

Just started the first 3 side missions. Love the look and feel of the game and the ballistic shield is great. A little overwhelmed at the menus and stats everywhere but I figure that will pass with time.

Oh, and I agree the character creator is pretty bad.

But look for the list, there are a lot of people on there right now that you can add, plus it is easy to match make in both the single player portion where you can invite folks into your game or when going in the DZ. They did a great job with the matchmaking for this game.

I'm doing the same and I 100% agree.
Normal is for people who are solo and not all that great/geared or people who just want an easy romp to finish the mission.

Hard is a totally different ballgame. If enemies catch you out in the open your health just drops in seconds.

Challenge mode is gonna be brutal without a good group and equipment.


And people who say the AI is easy/bad:

So far, even the damn Rioters on Hard will have one guy shoot you from afar, a baseball guy rush your cover while a Grenadier throws a grenade at the same time.
Good luck staying in the same piece of cover.

Of course experiences may vary, I love to move anyway and run from cover to cover to flank,which works great with suppression.
Suppression being awesome btw.

Dont worry about the virus. AFAIK it's just context, not secret plot or partcularly spoilery. Maybe that'll change as i progress in story, though.

The game is an immersive strategic shooter - think Rainbow Six Vegas or GRAW - with a big co-op focus, heavy loot game, and RPG elements. Like Diablo: the Third-person Shooter. You play a special "sleeper" agent activated after a cataclysmic event. You go into a ruined Manhattan to restore order. It does a remarkably good job of the RPG side - you feel legit like your own agent/soldier, getting involved in combat in an urban environment. The world is phenomenally detailed and pretty damn big.

I would join ya, but it's bed time for me right now. I just got out of a group I just played with where we played our missions on Hard. Left off at level 5.

Got to level 8, all three wings unlocked, and a couple of upgrades done thanks to some side stuff.

Calling it for tonight. Just crafted my first marksman rifle. I'm really diggin my characters look with the DLC gear.

This has been my experience exactly. On Hard it's not SUPER tough, but it gives you a good run for your money. It takes one person to go down for the whole team to lose.
 
I was getting turned off by the start but it got awesome when I grouped up with some randoms to take back the
police station
Everyone was surprisingly cool but there was still a bit of tension thinking someone might turn.
 
Just spent about 3 hours in a four-man fireteam of friends on PS4. Freaking great stuff so far. We basically did the beta missions once we got to level 4. It's incredibly fun with four when you can talk to everyone. Way more enemies than solo, gets real hectic.

Can't believe the sawn-off shotgun from the Gold Edition is a sidearm! Loving that.

I bought the Gold Edition via Gamesplanet and the other day I got two keys:

Gold Edition key and Season Pass key. On that day I input both into Uplay and instantly noticed The Division under my games.

Nothing there suggested it was the Gold Edition and nothing suggested I owned the season pass. Can anybody confirm if this was the same for them and if so how did you come to find it had indeed worked?

It's really funny but having a guy with a shield (or even two to alternate) changes SO much because they can pull tons of aggro, absorb damage otherwise going to your friends AND get opened up for your friends damage at the same time.

If you have 6 enemies shooting at you, one of your team will always take a good beating when popping out of cover but with a shield tanking, basically everyone is free to fire.
Well, for now. At level 4, haha.

I got two keys. Once the game unlocked (as it did now) there is a "DLC" tab for it on Uplay and it shows the season pass installed. It's all good

It's not possible to turn on someone in the pve zones. Only in the darkzone
 
How much gameplay can you get out of the first 13gb download on PS4? I think the rest will take a couple hours to download and Im wondering if im left waiting after a short tutorial.

Got about an hour before I was cut off. They give you all the Brooklyn stuff, which amounts to 3 missions. They stop you before going to Manhattan.

Igot the code with a proxy and I had ti redeem it through the United States Xbox Store (Spain here). But when I go to my game addons there’s nothing. Does the rewards vendor have them?
 
I'm out for the night, so damn good though! I got lost down some alley looting everything, my progress now relies on my radar cooldown lmao
