Tons Of Mass Effect 3 GamesCom Details

I kind of think if Bioware shows Tali's face it will screw up the entire relationship storyline with her. For all of the players who had their Shep hook up with Tali in ME2 they can't really act surprised if they see it now. They can't really go "Oh God! I never realised you were that ugly until now"

I still have to think of a way to break her heart to get back with Ashley

They are considering an Uber achievement for all three games. What that is exactly is they don't know, but they want to reward their long term fans.
How is this going to work for the PS3 version?

Jesus, how long could it possibly take to model one female Turian and one female Salarian and then just palette swap? We're supposedly going to be visiting their damn homeworlds and we're not going to see females? The Codex says that Salarians keep their females hidden away, so it's sort of excusable, but Turians ain't got no hangups about women. There are female Turians in their military, and we're not going to see a single one on their homeworld.

Romance between Joker and Shepard? Surely Joker's legs wouldn't be able to withstand the the full force of Shepard's Lazarus body.

Obligatory my Lazarus body is ready

It is really strange (or lazy) that we haven't seen female variants of most of the species in Mass Effect.

Mass Effect is my absolute favorite franchise this gen.

Nothing I heard prior to ME2 worried me, and I abso-fucking-loved that game, despite the changes from ME1.

Pretty much everything I've heard regarding ME3 has me worried as fuck that it's going to be shit, compared to the first two games. This list does not help...at all.

This forum is giving Bioware too hard a time. It's just another now-it's-cool, now-it's-lame situation.

Soon CD Projekt will be the most lame company around and bee hive will shift focus again.

It depends how far they want to take this console thing. I'm certainly worried about their future games, they're on the path that made so many previous PC only companies jump ship but they can still be saved.

And HELL FUCKING YES at Miranda being back, only premium british accented booty for my Shepard.
British and Australian accents don't even sound similar. What the christ.

Anyway these look like pretty sound changes. Give us a trailer that isn't just a shooting and explosion fest please.

Does the game read your achievements or save to import you character? I moved to a Slim Xbox so I lost my saves, am I fucked? Might have to replay both games before 3.

It reads your save file.

Bioware seem intent on selling ME3 to people who haven't played the first two games, so it would be smart of them to include a motion comic like ME2 on PS3.

There may be time sensitive story elements though it will be more focused ones like the Normandy crew.

Counters in missions or time-sensitivity are just cheap and lame and limit your enjoyment and should go away.

More romance options for femshep would be appreciated. I was disappointed to learn I couldn't romance Miranda and could only tease at a relationship with Tali and Jack. That achievement for all three games does sound interesting but I doubt it'll make it in since it couldn't be done on PS3 (at least with the same requirements).

Lolwut?

List of improvements + going back to what worked in ME1 = shit?

You really think that a bullet point for a game about romance between a crippled man and an artificial intelligence or being told the game will "make you cry" isn't asking for some negative feedback?

There still sounds like there's plenty of stuff that is good that they're looking into and working on, but when half of a list of information about a game sounds like it's straight from a 14 year old's diary that is kind of disappointing.

Glad to see you're still around. I hadn't seen you in a while and thought you left.

How is this possible? ME3 looks like it'll be combining the best things of ME1 and 2.

I think it says more about the bioware haters that they immediatly assume that Joker will be putting his penis in the Normandy than about Bioware saying they are thinking about something.

They're fine but it should be an actual time limit rather than an arbitrary task limit like the one in ME2.

Lets force players to finish the game in 30 hours or else its game over and you have to start again. What can go wrong with such a plan!

I wonder how they'll succeed to make Miranda sexier.

XP system goes back to ME1. No details but they won't do the mission summary XP from ME2.

There will be a larger variety of environments compared to ME2.

Legion will return with a larger role in ME3.

These three things make me extremely happy, especially the first one.

Kelly Chambers will return.

MY KELLY CHAMBERS IS DEEAAAD

(though this list sounds really good; but just like bioware told me, I'm keeping my expectations low)

Is losing the war not a valid end state for this trilogy? If the game is about choice, I'd like to think I could make the wrongs ones rather than them just meaning that I win the game in a different way.

Sure, but an artifical limit on the entire game is a bit silly. You could do it on missions though. The Arrival DLC actually had such limit, with the Reaper invasion starting if you failed to finish the mission on time.

Because BioWare hasn't given players any reason in the past to assume that they would use the word "romance" for anything other than a platonic one, right?

The list has a lot of good in it, like I said, but there's a heck of a lot of stupid mixed in there too.

I think a revolutionary addition for Mass Effect 3 would be making Shepard, in some way, flawed. Maybe he's actually wrong about something in the main storyline and he learns a valuable lesson about accepting authority.

Reward long term fan ?

I bought both games on PC. and second game on PS3. Guess I'd have to buy the third on PC to get a reward ?

Too bad for PS3 users then.

Also, about Joker / EDI romance : wtf

Meh. I see 90% of these details as fanservice, the few that actually matter either suck or are just too little too late.

There may be vehicles but you won't explore with them. Side quests always on the "critical path". So much for incorporating the best of ME1. At least they're doing away with the moronic mission summaries, but they're guaranteed to find a new way to screw it up regardless.

and now i'm going to have to play the trilogy about 5 times to get all the cool stuff figured out, need to play once with ashley, liara, miranda, tali, jack....then one with kelly....gah. game sounds great.

Probably the closest we'll get is that Batarian colony thing from the last ME2 dlc.

I wouldn't mind more of your suggestion, though. Maybe they'll use the backstory of sheperd for that. I know they touched on it in ME1 when I played with the backstory where you were in that earth gang. That old member came up trying to blackmail you for your past, and you got to react accordingly.

my Wrex+legion team is ready to break the galaxy
I am sorry to have to be the one to tell you this but Wrex is dead.

And Legion is boring so he was booted form Team Shepard.

Bring back the roundtable discussion post-mission like in ME1!
If it's appropriate, that is. I miss those...

Hopefully they'll have Mass Effect 3 on Steam for a week so that I can buy it at whatever outlandish price they set. Also, they can do no wrong (aslong as they don't stray too much). I even enjoyed... ugh... that left a bad taste... Dragon Age 2.

The only thing I'm worried about is the lack of exploration.

Also, what's up with Thane coming back from the dead? He died in the vents and has died every single one of my playthroughs. I didn't even know there was an alternate ending in which he lived.

I lost Legion in my recent PC playthrough. Same thing happened my first time on 360. He's a pretty bad dude so I think I'll do one more run through to make sure he stays alive. Grunt also died but that's fine.

In the ten or so playthroughs I've done, Wrex always lives (I use my cunning intellect to select the blue dialog choice), just as Carth always stays with the nuke. I'm consistent like that. Why would you want to shoot Wrex, anyways? He's a cool guy.
