Kind of ironic consider the stuff that goes on there.The_Technomancer said:Hate to burst the bubble guys but I took a look at the BioWare forums and the fans there have pretty much the exact same reactions![]()

They don't have PH.Ds, they have MDs.Castor Krieg said:From what it looks like the "doctors" (which is an insult to ever Ph.D. actively involved in research instead of making videogames) love the way the company handles its IPs - DA2, F2P WAR, Facebook shit, SWTOR, etc.

A properly spec'ed Vanguard will be able to charge A LOT. And with his new power that synergizes with charge, the class is awesome.

Have you guys finalized the Vanguards melee attack yet? I'm really curious about all the different melee attacks can't wait
@shnellehope
yeah it's pretty solid right now. Everyone really likes it. Probably my favorite.

Just some more Vanguard superiority.

I melee'd plenty. It has it's uses.Gvaz said:I don't even know why they're bothering with melee. Who melee'd? It was clunky as fuck and these videos didn't dissuade me otherwise.

The_Technomancer said:Melee was useful in the same way the gun-smack is useful in L4D: when things get clusterfucky and your character who isn't designed for close combat has to suddenly frantically bash away at the hoards surrounding them.
I'm looking at you Reaper-core infinite-Geth fight. I died a half dozen times on that encounter, almost half of my deaths in the entire playthrough.
Pretty much, although I've always thought of Liara as the trying-too-hard cutesy nerd-bait alternative to Tali, so this figure doesn't seem inappropriate or surprising to me at all.Rodney Mckay said:Oh, God. It's like they pasted the face of a 2 year old baby onto the body of a pornstar.
Disgusting.
epmode said:At the start, I agree. But the charge is a lot better after you dump a bunch of points into it. The idea is to jump from target to target as fast as the charge cooldown is up, fun stuff.
Huh?Gvaz said:I loved vanguard in ME1 but hated it in ME2.
Oh I get a charge? *charges a dude, it barely does any damage and I die in seconds trying to get to cover*
Neat. *rerolls another class instead*

Yeah I'm not interested in that. I want the charge to send them into orbit. Now that would be fun.RyanDG said:The point of the charge isn't to do damage with the chage, but to take out your shotgun and mess someone up right after the charge.
Gvaz said:I wanted a super shield, not a dumb charge effect where shepard does some sort of warp field and your FOV gets all funky while being covered in fucking veins a few seconds later resulting in you not being able to see jack shit.
Replicant said:Charge as it is now is useless because 95% of the time you're surrounded by multiple enemies so that even if you've successfully charged one (or shotgunned him), you'd still have to deal with several others who'd likely shoot you face-blank or in the back as you try to run back for cover.

You can pretty much spam Charge your way through anything in this game if you do it properly.
That makes me way too nervous. Coupled with the vignette and the terrible veins textures simply losing shields makes me go "time to go away while shields recharge" Half health or lower and my brain screams danger at me, not "charge to regain shields"Wallach said:That's exactly why it recharges your shields every time you hit Charge.
