BTW, Portuguese and Spanish are mutually intelligible languages. Italian is harder to understand.

Yep, although I don't know Portuguese, it is very understandable when I read it. If I listen to people speaking it, then it obviously becomes much more difficult but sometimes I can follow simple sentences when it's spoken. If I read it, then it's a lot easier to understand. If I remember correctly, Brazilian Portuguese is a bit easier to understand than Portuguese from Portugal (though I could be wrong).

I guess so.

And as a Brazilian, I think the spoken Latin American Spanish is easier to understand than Spanish from Spain. Except for Argentinian Spanish...

Celui qui réveille les vents, so this is more like 'He/one who wakes the winds' right? Some languages, like mine (Swedish) can do like English just take Wake (to wake) = Väcka and use a suffix - ren = Väckaren to make it a noun

Remember how hes barefoot throughout the whole movie and at one point he has to walk through broken glass?

Yep, thats your Glass Jungle right there.

Admittedly a lot of these translations are for the lols, if you were to actually tranlaste the franchise properly you would cater towards idioms that work well phonetically in your language, it just makes sense.

Thats also why a lot of Spanish insults dont translate well. "me cago en Dios" or any variation of "Me cago en..." is wildly popular in Spain yet you never see some American say "I shit on God" as a means to express their anger.

The roundabout way is because there is not term that directly translates "waker" (or I do not know of it). Does Swedish have the same linguistic roots as English ? The grammatical construction and the way you can make nouns looks straightforward enough (unless there are irregularities and irregular nouns/verbs)

"Suikoden" is actually the Japanese name of a Chinese work of literature that apparently had 108 heroes. "Gensou" probably has the effect of meaning "magical."

I'd probably go for ... "Fantasy Suikoden" (or "Fantasy Shuihuzhuan").
