I'm telling you that's how I'd write it. ;)
And I meant to say introduced at the tailend of season 1.
The Queen already said how she can be killed.

Can't say I was really feeling this episode. There wasn't really anything that happened except for the players to end up in different places (and in the case of some of them for them to end up in the same place).

I am wondering who's going to end up dead. I can't think of any other supernatural on the show that meets the Queen's description besides Sam, so it's either him unless they deus ex machina out on the ending and have that Barry guy just kind of wander in to town.

And DAMMIT!!!!! 2 week break? I'm going to be out of town for work with no HBO access in two weeks, motherf@#$ing HBO asses!!!!!

K.
I'll get to my DVR in a bit.
But I would have just had Maryanne get a bit bored, not killed.
It's much funnier if the omnipotent threat just gets bored and moves on IMO.
Killing a threat doesn't surprise me...

Ummm. Sookie?! Obviosly Bill would rather Sam get sacrificed, but it's pretty clear that Maryanne wants Sookie now.

That gets me wondering though, supossedly she can't control shifters or other supernaturals, how was she able to get the other shifter? And why just not use her as a sacrifice?

The other shifter explained that she was in awe of Maryann's power, so she followed her by choice. Maryann probably didn't think she was a worthy sacrifice because she was weak.

I meant I couldn't think of anyone else that could actually be killed off of the show, Sookie is one of those cases where it's pretty worthless to try and create suspense by putting her in any real danger.

The other shifter (Daphne) - something to do with the poison maybe? But I don't think she was ever controlled like the others are, you never saw Daphne with the black eyes even at the ritual where they almost got Sam.

The Queen was pretty sweet...not threatening at all at this point. We all know that will change.
She already seems a bit odd.

I (think I) know what is going to happen.

Say goodbye to Sookie's relative. If it is anything like the books he is doomed anyways.

lolololol

and oh shit Sookie said fuck for the first fime

She's said fuck before...she told her faux husband Hugo to "just shut the fuck up" when the were locked up in the FOTS/LODI church basement...and IIRC she also told everyone at Gran's funeral service to shut the fuck up after hearing their judgemental thoughts while trying to speak a few words.

oh right I forgot.

Kinda surprised no one is talking about the fact that Eric FUCKING FLEW! Wtf?!! Was this ever shown in the show before? Can vampires fly in the novels?

I wasn't shocked because in season 1, after the police raid at Fangtasia, we saw a shot of Eric and Pam "floating" when they, along with Bill and Sookie, ran out the back door...it was a close up shot of their upper torso/heads, but you could tell they were obviously floating.

As far as we know, Bill can't (yet) fly...Sookie ask him this in their little FAQ chat soon after they first met, and she teased him saying "Bill, you don't seem like a very good Vampire"

Did anyone else find it kind of funny when Bill was chilling by the pool and getting into the music that was playing.

Also on a side not I saw Eric in the latest Lady Gaga music video. She must be a fan of the show.

Didn't really enjoy the episode -- one of the weakest of the season so far. Only thing that stood out was Eric and, as usual, Jason's involvement.

I wonder when they'll finally introduce
the weres
in the show.

I thought this episode did a great job of setting up the finale. It seemed like a very humorous kind of episode also setting up the Queen as a character. When the whole Tera and her mom thing was happening though I was actually yelling at the screen. I hate them both so fucking much.

I really really hope Sam isn't the one to die in the finale. He's one of my favorite characters and hes just gotten fucked over so many times in this season.

I just realized that Jessica managed to stay away from all the trouble for the 340303093 week in a row.

:lol

Is she ever going to be a part of a major plot?

Everything with Jason and Andy was awesome tonight, especially when they were talking about their past history and Jason was proving how he worked for what he had by working out and watching porn :lol

I hope not. She's much safer that way.

I often wonder if Tara is actually meant to be the most unlikable character on the show, or if it just sort of happens on its own.

Damn, I really hope the actor who plays Lafayette gets some sort of television award, because he is fucking owning all of his scenes.

Treu...both of them suck and I would be pissed if Sam dies.

Edit...though if I did not hate her so much when Sookie beamed Terras mom in the face it wouldn't have been as funny...yeah it would who am I kidding.

Loved this episode but it was kind of hard to get into...which was weird.

Lafayette was amazing as always. And holy shit at the discussion between Jason and Andy :lol "what if sam turnes into a chicken and lays his own eggs?"

:lol

Eric was fucking cool with the kids, miniature humans :lol

Jason Stackhouse is like an adorable mid-20's GWB, I love him.

Anyway, I have a horrible feeling that the Arlene's kids were introduced in this episode to be some kind of Deus Ex Machina for the end of this season - like their purity can hurt Maryann or the zombies come out of their hypnosis when they are commanded to hurt children. Anyway, I hope not

Yeah, Sam and Andy in the truck was fantastic.

"This town may be full of stupid rednecks and dumbasses, but damn it, this is still America"
"That used to mean something"
(locking and loading) "It still does, Andy... it still does"

And yeah, I'm not really feeling the queen yet, either.

What a worthless episode. Nothing freaking happened, and the "Queen" was very disappointing. Finale better deliver.

As always Lafayette was nothing less than awesome, they really need to give him a major role next season:D

i can't wait to try out the true blood drink, but 2 weeks for a finale-_-

and Andy and Jason are like a classic buddy cop movie, "I don't like or i didn't like you but we gotta save this place so let's team up":lol :lol

So right now it's basically:

Team A: Sookie (captured) Lafayette(assimilated)

Team B: Jason & Andy (ready to kick ass)

Team C: Sam (taken by Bill as a diversion) Bill (working on some kind of plan)

“Sometimes you need to destroy something to save it. That’s in the bible. Or the constitution.”

Jason was hilarious this week. Sort of an odd episode veering more towards camp and gross out humor than usual, but it looks like things are all set up for the finale. Sucks that we have to wait two weeks for it.

Yeah about this...does anyone know which stores are going to carry it and when it will be available? I hate to pay $4 a drink online and top it off with $9 shipping...(will if I have to...girlfriend is all about having it for the show).

I'm at work, so I haven't had a chance to read everyone's posts (so sorry if the theory has been discussed)

First off, loved the episode. Had an awesome zombie apocalypse vibe to it. Plus, some really hilarious scenes. The Jason / Bellefleur truck speech was epic. AMERICA!!! (fuck yeah)

Anyway, my theory. The Queen is wrong … Maryann has figured out a way to bring Bacchus to Earth. If you listened to some of Hoyt’s mom’s gibberish at the end … she seemed to be talking about giving birth in reference to Maryann (and saying she has no idea how much it sucks). At that point, I started thinking that’s how Maryann’s going to pull it off. When they showed the egg … that makes it even more likely in my mind.

The show has at times done some built-in references involving peoples' names. We originally though Maryann was close to Maenad. It's doing double duty. Her name is Mary because she's the mother of god (or will be).

The finale would be boring if things work out exactly as planned (Bacchus doesn’t really show up, but they trick her so she becomes vulnerable). This way, she can still be killed (she actually will be vulnerable) … but the monkey wrench will be everyone going HOLY SHIT because Bacchus is actually in the house.

Not a bad episode, but not great. Jason is on fire right now, him and lafayette may be the best characters on the show. I don't like how they portrayed Eric flying, but I can get past that. Also I'm not a big Evan Rachel Wood fan, especially as the queen, I feel like she's not right for the part.

Either way I'm psyched for the finally, we actually ordered some true blood, so hopefully that can arrive in time for it.
