what? i got no such implication. they were just partying upstairs. it just seems like a regular basement in a house

You were saying?

I don't know about best episode ever. I'm really finding Jason's storyline cringe-worthy, but maybe I just don't realize that this is how these kinds of people really behave and so it just seems ridiculously over the top and embarrassing to me.

I'm really liking the all of the other storylines in the show though, and . . .

. . . OMG, that guy all trying to get with Tara is hooooooooot!!!!!!!!

Great episode. Eric is the same as ever and Jason is looking to get into some trouble on his religious retreat. Next week should be awesome.

Just wanted to pop in again and say that LaFayette was especially good this episode.

I've always enjoyed the LaFayette character, it seems like he's the most together out of anyone. Great episode tonight.

I'm really anxious to see how Lafayette gets out of all this shit. Like someone said earlier, he seems to be the only one with a full deck of cards. His "Survivor first, capitalist" second line fits him fucking PERFECTLY.

Ok i might just check until the end of the season because of the cliffhangers
then I watch the preview for next week and I cant wait

Damn this show is on fire!

Totally love Michelle Forbes in this. Can't wait to see where her story goes.

And the Bill / Eric / sales clerk scene was great-- "ohhh, I get it..."

Agree with those saying best episode... has everything I love about the series, lafayette, sookie's titties, that hot cougar, the hot girls in Jason's subplot, Eric, and lafayette!

Loved tonight's episode. Anyone catch the song in the credits tonight?
I had to go look it up. I was laughing at it (in a good way, though) too much to not find out about it:

Chuck Prophet - "You Did"

I had to pause the show once Sookie and Jessica went to her old house. It was so tense and uncomfortable for me, cause I just know something bad was going to happen. Sometimes when a scene unfolds like that for me, I have to take a breather, as weird as that sound!

But I agree with most here. This show is just getting better and better!

So, I just jumped on the bandwagon a week before the premiere and did the on demand thing. I'm current now, and have to say that this is one of the most enjoyable shows on TV.

Anyways, I have a question: What the hell is Maryann?

Yeah, as mentioned, Mehcad Brooks...he played one of Alfre Woodard's son's in Desperate Housewives' shitty season 2...and he also was in an episode of Fox's "Dollhouse"...kinda shirtless, but with annoying black stripes covering his body due to the window blinds.

Great episode, I love me some highlights-getting, track-suit wearing, redneck-killing, tall nordic buff Eric. And Pam is always great too.

Jason, though in this necessary but annoying Jesus Freaks storyline, at least still manages to satisfy his quota of exposed manflesh :)

I'm vowing to stay spoiler free regarding Maryann...what she is, what she can do, etc...she can change Sam to his dog form...makes me wonder if that pig she was with is another shapeshifter who she has perhaps kidnapped and keeps in pig form. Or hell, if her or her "kind"(if there are others like her) are somehow responsible for shapeshifters in the first place. I wonder what the sexual pheremone spell, her interest in getting Eggs and Tara to get it on(*slaps Carl* "NO ONE NEEDED TOWELS!"), and her massive calorie binge, are all about.

Loved seeing the Jessica scene at her home...interesting that Vampires can glamour a human into inviting them in though...seems like a cheat...perhaps it only works on young minds like Jessica's little sister.

The dude with dark hair that has some homo-erotic tension going with Jason totally looks like Nathan Drake.

Seriously that flag-football CTF was like a Schlitz Gay montage.

I like Tara, even during her always-pissed confrontational moments, though thankfully she's moved on from that, or at least is trying to, but who knows what this Maryann and Eggs stuff will throw her way. She's barely shown now anyway since 3 of her major plot points, her mother, her crush on Jason, and her no-strings-turned-strings-turned-off relationship with Sam, were all resolved...make that 4 things if you add her relationship with her cousin Lafayette.

As for McDonald and Jason, i'm getting a Frank Grimes/Homer Simpson vibe...the hard working straight as an arrow type has to watch the charming idiot get treated favorably and get everything effortlessly...wonder if he'll have a similiarly hilarious and/or fatal Grimey-styled meltdown.

Just saw the episode. God damn do I love this show. Its just so over the top. Anyone who says they dont like it because its cheesy or whatever just doesnt get it.

There are so many ridiculous moments that make me lol. Jason playing capture the flag in slomo with God Bless Texas playing in the background, Bill shopping for girls clothes, jesus asked me out today, etc.

Second episode was MUCH better than the premiere and thoroughly entertaining, barring maybe the Jason stuff. Everything with Lafayette and Eric was gold. Quotable lines galore.

Lafayette rummaging through the guts was soooooooooooo good. :D

Best campy moment of the season is still Maryann's "Nobody needed towels!!!." *slaps servant* Fucking hilarious delivery. The scenes in the bar were also great. You can tell Michelle Forbes is relishing this role.

Personality wise Michelle Forbes would make a perfect Cersei Lannister in A Game of Thrones. Too bad she's not about 10 years younger and blonde.

HOLY SHIT you are right!

I thought I recognized him...

holy crap that was good. i thought ep1 was a bit ho-hum ..but this ..yeah ..prob maybe the best episode yet. awesome stuff ...right from the 1st min.

Great episode. The whole thing with Eric's hair cracks me up, and you just knew that Jessica going home would end up horribly wrong. Dumbass move on Sookie's part. It'll be interesting to see where they take Lafayette from here.

Good call. She has the attitude down perfectly.

Well, just watched the first season.

Interesting so far.

Although it felt like they were tossing Rene under the bus at the end because they wanted a shocker for the killer.

LaFayette rocks.

Sam is cool, but he needs to learn to turn into a Grizzly or a Lion.
OR A RAPTOR!
:D

I'll check out the second season; but expect it to veer into crapsville quickly.

No way. They seem to be developing a good story right now.

I just watched the first season and I was surprised at how much I loved it. I figured I would hate it.

Really fun and funny show that doesn't take itself too seriously, yet still has some good dramatic parts with good acting.

Finally got around to watching last week's episode and damn, what an episode! The scene where Jason is in the bathroom and closeted gay dude walks in and says, "Jason Stackhouse, you think you walk on water?"

"No, that's Moses," sez Jason in all seriousness.

"No, idiot, that was Jesus."

Jason mouthing WTF in the mirror... :lol :lol :lol

Might be a response to the massive spike in Season 1 DVD Sales along with the holiday weekend.

Great episode, by the way.

Great episode, relatively minimal Jason which I liked. Still could use even less Tara, but I'm curious to see how the Dallas stuff pans out. A change of scenery, even if temporary, will be very nice.
