I'm pretty sure he died in a car "accident"...Sookie was watching the news on the TV in Adele Stackhouse's kitchen.

There are episodes on 7/12, 7/19, and 7/26. He's just listing spoilers for the back end of the season in August.

As far as I know, this is the schedule.

Ok, I figured it was something like that, just looked up on tv.com and said new episode this sunday. Why did they take the week off? Just to bump Entourage?

Also, does anyone else think
Eggs is the half bull creature?

I remember my wife and I laughing our asses off during the whole episode where he takes V the 'right way'. He does a damn fine job at playing the role of the moronic redneck.

What's even better if you hear him in an interview. He's Australian! He plays a dumb redneck perfectly, and I think his accent is pretty good...unlike Anna Pacquin's. I've gotten used to her accent but it's still pretty bad.

Wow. I remember seeing Stephen Moyer on Jimmy Fallon and was shocked when I found out he was British.

I catched up a couple of days ago. I still cant get over that the vampires speak swedish among themselves... :lol

For most foreign actors, the only accent they can even attempt is a southern accent. Black Hawk Down being the best example. The thing is, people who aren't from the south can't really tell what's a good or bad performance b/c they are only familiar with the exaggerated, as seen on TV version.

It's so bad that now American actors are trying to do the southern accent from TV, like DiCaprio in Body of Lies. It's probably similar to what people from Boston complained about regarding The Departed.

Just the vampires at the club though, right? They're Swedish vampires, iirc.

The episode summaries for the rest of the season leaked. Seems like it'll have a better storyline then the first.

Let's keep the spoilers out of this thread please! I was annoyed enough that the girl I work with was on hbo.com looking at the True Blood website, and there were spoilers on there! Not so blatant, but one of the characters they listed on there has only been in one episode but not it looks like s/he will be back this season.

Half my family lives in Georgia, Alabama, and north Florida (don't know anyone from Mississippi though) and have southern accents - the accents in True Blood aren't bad at all IMO. Anna Paquin's sounds kind of forced at times but even it's tolerable.

true blood, entourage, and hung all in a row. if hung improves like i think it will, sunday is going to fucking rule.

I'm really really sorry if this has been asked 50 times already, but I haven't started Season 2 yet (just picked up HBO yesterday) and I don't want to read through the thread.

Are the books any good? The complete set is on sale for me at Amazon and I can't figure out shit from sifting through the reviews. They're all Twilight douchebags whining about crap, which I guess I could take as a good thing.

My wife loves the books. But you won't like the show as much if you read them. They have pretty much disregarded the books for this season according to my wife.

Does your wife have the same tastes as a 30 year old male horror/gore hound?

I'm not saying I need them to be overly violent or anything, but I don't want to read 5000 pages about sappy romance crap.

:lol I think they are definitely more romance than you would want then from what I understand. There is definitely violence, but I know later books go into more love stories. I would probably just stick with the show or maybe try to get them from the library and see what you think.

I had completely forgotten about the existence of public libraries until right now. :lol

Thanks for the input.

Lol...my girlfriend just re-discovered them and has been killing books lately. :lol

The books really do pretty much become romance. The world also gets pretty convoluted later on and from what I've read of the later books (I'm not up to date) even the author starts losing continuity.

I saw that in a couple Amazon reviews. She'd have flashbacks to previous books and the details (car models and whatnot) would be different.

They also said the editing was atrocious with people's names accidentally changing, bad punctuation, and double words.

How cany anyone not like this show? It's the best thing on TV!

Hate to be the "to be fair" guy but the first few episodes of S1 were a little off putting. Very campy and overacted with loads of awkward southern accents and a strange premise. But like most shows it settled down and it's really hitting its stride in S2.

Definitely my favorite show on TV right now.

I tore through all 9 books in less than a week. Yes, lots of sappy romance crap. Or rather, more sex than what you'd be used to if you don't read romance novels.

Other than that, the mysteries are decent. The later books (5-9) start getting kinda more of the same with all sorts of weird characters and supernatural crap going on.

This could be the case. I think both episodes were from S1 and I've seen this happen before. I really couldn't stand the dialogue and ridiculous performance by Anna Paquin. the shit that characters says could only be written for horny teenagers.

No, I think you watched the 2 Twilight trailers by mistake and hate Kristen Stewart.

Damn that naked pool sex party looked fun. Tara is just a fucking wet blanket. Who cares if some demon is screwing with people's minds? Just go with it ffs.

Who is bull man? Is that Michelle Forbes' servant?

Edit: I too would rather have sex with Hoyt than play Wii, and Bill is starting to piss me off. If we don't see Jessica naked the blood will be on his hands.
I can confirm that at least up to the 8th episode of the season we do NOT see Jessica naked, nor do we see Daphne naked.
