Oh wow, didn't know he was directing an episode. Let's see how he does. No pressure Bill!I'm excited to see Stephen Moyer's directorial efforts tonight!

Eric is the true hero of good vampires.Bill is a goddamn pushover.
Eric is the true hero of good vampires.
Sam's actor is really fucking good at doing impressions of other actors.
Sam's name is... Sam.
Nah. Russel's name is Russel Edgington. I have a feeling Warlow will be next season. So Warlow or whoever is obviously Russel, right?

When Lafayette said Terry would have to kill Patrick, my first reaction was "Oh, that's all? OK."
The only way this scene with Lafayette, Terry, and Arlene will be good is if they are all killed. My god, their story lines are boring as fuck.

I have to say I actually like Vampire Tara.
Why bring Russel back and immediately marginalize him?
Boo.
Powerful, but immature and gleefully murderous.
His character pisses me off a little. He's the oldest known vampire and he's more immature than Bill, or even Jessica. Eric is 1/3 the age Russel is and is much more controlled. Russel doesn't come across as some ancient being... he seems more like a kid in a candy store every time they show him.
Well in this case, Eric is pretty much only doing the right things because Godric snapped him out of his high. Bill doesn't have a Godric.I thought Eric was an asshole for a long time but this season has proven that he's at least more decent than Bill, even if he's not what I'd call a good person.
How is Bill even immature? He's one of the most mature characters on the show.
I wonder what's going on with Bill, he's acting strangely out of character.
I didn't mean to say that he was. I was saying that you would think a vampire that is significantly older than him would act in a more mature manner.
Edit: Russel is 3000 years old and is one of the most immature vampires on the show....
Knowing Bill, he's probably up to something to put an end to this group. But if not, I don't think i'd mind him going bad for awhile.I wonder what's going on with Bill, he's acting strangely out of character.

Like Eddie said in S1, "We are what we were when we were turned." That's the lore of the show and pretty much any Vampire lore actually. Vampirism is not a cure for being a psychopath.
Yeah, but we've seen changes in vampires over the course of the show. Just because they were a certain way when they were "made" doesn't mean they are condemned to an eternity of being that exact person. Russel doesn't seem to have evolved AT ALL in his 3000+ years on earth. The way he comes across, to me, isn't of that of some ancient creature (which he is suppose to be).
Maybe after 3k+ years he is bored and just doesn't care. After that amount of time, I would be like a kid in a candy store until someone pissed me off. Maybe it's just his personality amplified over the centuries.
I think that his flippant nature is a natural progression from being so old. The vampires who are younger than him are still for the most part, playing the game. Russell is bored with that and lives to please his ID. It makes sense that he is taking that route, why waste so much energy on trying to control everything when you can just enjoy the moment?
He isn't "just enjoying the moment". He has an agenda. When he ripped that reporters spine out he stated as much.
I don't believe he has any agenda at the moment aside from hanging out with the people who let him indulge in whatever he wants to do at the moment. He may get an agenda, and soon, but at the moment he's just having a hell of a lot of fun.
I respectfully disagree. He was very much against the authority before this season and made it known that he believed that vampires were superior to humans and that humans were a source of food for him. The show has done a pretty good job of documenting Russels motives. He doesn't wan't to co-exist with humans. He thinks humans are his food.
