President Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, has hired his own attorney as the special counsel investigation into Russian election interference progresses, NBC News reported Friday.

Cohen has hired Washington, D.C., attorney Stephen M. Ryan, according to NBC's Katy Tur.

A source told Tur that Cohen will testify before the House Intelligence Committee on Sept. 5, adding that the testimony was delayed due to "scheduling and logistics."

Note that this isn't his lawyer who is defending him in the FBI case (the lawyer who violated the code of ethics by telling WH staff not to lawyer up). This guy has been his lawyer for other matters before presidency, including financial dealings.

Ahh yes. That delay until September even though congress doesn't go on recess until August. Congress should grab him by the nuts and say make time now. This is one of the men who has openly talked about talking to the Russians going as far as to present a plan to legitimize Russia's invasion of Ukraine
