In all honesty it's just twitch trying to look like it's taking some sort of stand against this.
Morally though the only thing I have is that with his viewership you don't want to diminish the impact swatting has. If his fans view it as some sort of joke who's to say they won't try it.

Better to make an example out of him than let people think it's cool, even as a fake "joke."

I know and she's just risen to the top on twitch in the past week or so.
She is faking. To me the big give away is when the webcam is focused on breasts and not the face and having the webcam cover like 40% of the screen of an LoL game.
There is no room control. She complains over and over but won't ban anyone it seems.
Another reason this is like a word from word repeat of what Kaceytron would do when playing LoL.
She won't turn donations off. Yet complains about them over and over.
It's all an act.
She's just copying a style of streaming from other successful streamers. The more she freaks out, the more donations she gets. It's either from people who want to make her freakout more or from people who are trying to make her feel better.
Kaceytron and some other girl who got banned(she now streams on hitbox) have been doing this schtick for years.

I've only ever watched Day9 on occasion, and he seems like a swell guy.

Day9 would stream before it was popular. And his streams were always informative, and he's genuinely a good person.
That chick, sparklez or whatever, for the past couple days she's been doing the same act again and again from what I've heard over at the League OT. It's sad and pathetic, but it works out in her favor because people donate to comment. She plays it up, more people donate.

Back OT, fake swatting is the dumbest thing I have ever fucking seen. I'd imagine it's scary as fuck if it happens to you for real.

Seriously, no one cares what you do with your body. Everyone is selfish, some more so than other and rather say eff you to everyone that tries to "judge" them.
It is just like driving drunk, no one cares(probably their close friends/family though..after suffering from an emotional and mental stress) if someone crashed and killed themselves because they decided to drive drunk in the first place.
But when they and you involve the public, then yeah, people around you will care.
So you only hide your smoking problem when kids are around? But not the rest of the general public like the elders and pregnant women? Not even near to young adults?
You don't have to answer because it is your body and belief after all to smoke in front of people in public and passing out harmful fume.
Addiction is a hell of a mental fight though, so I don't blame you for not be able to break the habit and rather smoke in public to show that you need to smoke to keep up with your addiction.

I'm so tired of people putting themselves out across the internet, then wonder why people are overreacting. If you broadcast your 'edgy' comedy to that broad a group, there's bound to be some that won't like it. And guess what? They also have an outlet with which they can express their views.
People with no experience in comedy need to stop trying to be the funniest person on the internet.
Not that I Agree or Disagree but I believe they don't allow excessive use of showing ones chest, male or female.
