Ubisoft is failing because their games suck...

It's not all bad, I LOVE the Anno series, TCGR: Wildlands and Breakpoint have been played by me and my friends for hundreds of hours in coop but what they've done to the Settlers series recently is more than enough to not care about Ubisoft anymore.

. . .I love that the entire support of for this thread comes down to the OP searching for "Ubisoft sucks" on YouTube, and being floored that in an ocean of content, they are able to find videos matching their thesis. Because of course searching for "Nintendo sucks" returns zero hits whatsoever.

Assassin's creed, watchdogs, ghost recon, far cry are essentially the same game with slight variations.

By this you mean "These games are all open world now and that's enough for me to consider them the 'same game' despite playing wildly different."

1. Dont get your news from Youtube.
2. Their stock crashed but they're still a profitable company.
Their CEO is a POS by placing the blame on the workers though. Kinda hope Microsoft buys them out and and make them start pumping out games that are both new IPs and classic IPs.

They should give more Rayman and Splinter Cell and less Watch dogs and ghost recon. Whyd they get rid of the Ubiart stuff , child of light , rayman legends and valiant hearts were all pretty good

I think the game industry as a whole just has to figure out the right approach for new single player IPs going forward. They seem to have lost their minds a bit with the budgets, just like Hollywood did. They need to find ways to master the tools available to get quality experiences out the door at a lower cost.

If something hits, then maybe you expand it more for the next entry.

Ubisoft needs to rebuild, they have lost their touch. They have some dead IPs they can resurrect like Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell for example and some few others but nope lets make another open world game for the 99th time.

Watch Dogs Legion was laughable. Threw away all the good parts that 1 and 2 had.

Ass Creed Valhalla is one of the most boring repetitive games I've ever played. The pure definition of quantity over quality.

Far Cry 6 was so bland, by far the worst game in the series, so many steps backwards.

So yeah, I do agree.

Ubisoft makes soulless products now with only the occasional gem in the mix.

Everything eventually dies. The people running Ubisoft are no longer concerned with making good games and unless they refocus on paying customers and deliver what those people want, they'll fade away.

There are quite a lot of videos detailing Ubisoft's failures out there.

Why can't Ubisoft release great games anymore?
Their latest games aren't something attractive. When I see their games it's a fucking exercise in which edition to buy, I mean you would have to resort to a fucking chart to make your purchase. It's a pointless menial exercise to confuse buyers.
A lot of their games are riddled with shitty microtransactions, season passes, and time savers. You have content split between ones where you can purchase from the PS/ Xbox store, Uplay, and other crap. Nothing is focused.
Their quest design is boring and made of tedious fetch quests and collect-a-thons.
Ubisoft really sucks and it's in their logo, it's a top view of a piece of shit.

What movie are those photos from?

Their modern games are indeed terrible , repetitive , dull and devoid of any creativity .

I can't remember the last Ubisoft game I finished , despite owning several of them due to promo or discounts . Hmm , maybe Splinter Cell Double Agent

The question, "What the hell happened to Ubisoft?" is pretty broad. Did it release some underwhelming games like Rainbow Six Extraction or Hyper Scape for the millionth time?

Was its latest open-world title another soulless cash-grab like Ghost Recon Breakpoint that necessitated months of post-launch fixes to stop it from crashing?
