Porn regulation is something that is absolutely necessary, though preferably not in the form of arbitrary censorship. But appearantly when the UK does something it's horrendous because 'Brexit is bad n stuff', meanwhile in most threads about porn enforcing unhealthy standards/practices on women it usually doesn't take long til many ask for bans. Lots of hypocrisy all around.

And even then, I'm sad GAF hasn't seen this from the proper perspective yet. This law doesn't mention porn, but "adult content". What is that? Who gets to decide?

It sets precedent for the government to impose censorship and no one will be able to fight it without being labelled a perv, even if it isn't strictly about porn.

I think that this rule has been a thing for a while, at least in terms of R18 content, I would imagine they are just (trying) to extend that R18 content rating to online content as well.
