This game is coming out early November right? So - the game is done right? Approval, publishing, packaging, shipping etc. is easily a month + process.

1) I was right about the Wesker thing too but didn't know it worked in 2 tiers (cracked and completely off). Wesker comeback fiend?
2) Felicia's Rolling Buckler did stick in the TGS to pre-TGS build. No idea why they changed it. No one lied about that.
3) Why are people worried about Vergil's health? Have you forgotten that the best characters in the game are low health? They are low health for a reason. Also Strider might be better than Vergil slightly but it's going to take longer for people to get good with him.
4) No way this is the end of MVC3. Just like AE was the end of SF4? LOLOL Capcom try harder.
5) Haggar still causes hard knockdown on Lariat as a point character. Doesn't do it as assist
6) Characters specific X Factor length is a fucking twist. No one saw this coming.

There really isn't a reason not to snap Phoenix in early anymore. Since she can't defend herself as easily you really want to take that opportunity to take her out early.

No surprise really.... I had Phoenix pegged to win this tournament because it's FChamp. It might've been a different ball game had he used new characters but he didn't.
Another thing is that at NorCal it's mostly a zoning based play style there. Look at how many Taskmasters there were. Zoning team vs Phoenix team is heavily in Phoenix team's favor because you can't get as many snap backs off.
It's harder to get Dark Phoenix out but once you do it's the same ol' bull shit.
Overall I am very pleased with the game. The level of abuse in the game is severely toned down and character variety is upped. Now when I see Ryu vs Wolverine it feels like a FAIR match. Meter building is slower, X Factor is toned down and hit stun scaling is more severe.
Of course the game isn't out for people to properly tinker with it but a lot can be seen in a tournament setting.

Some of the new characters only looked especially effective guys is because nobody knows how yet to defend against their shit. Hawkeyes instant tracking super, Ghost Rider's jump S and Vergil's Phantom swords are going to be significantly less effective when people get match experience on how to defend against it.

This is day -20 characters vs day +100 characters. Everyone and their grand ma knows about Magneto/Wolverine, their technology, their combos, their mix ups, their game plan and how to use them. What people know about Vergil/Strange/Hawkeye is based off of impressions some guy across half the globe gave. For people to come in fresh in a tournament and use a character for the FIRST TIME tells me that these characters at least have strong fundamentals to stay competitive. With someone like Vergil, Strange and Hawkeye they have enough juice to go the extra mile. Combos aren't discovered, mix ups aren't discovered and match up practice is non-existent.
Also.. when it comes to day 1 tactics zoning characters always appear stronger than rushdown. It takes longer for people to figure out how to get in when someone is spewing arrows from across full screen.
