To those who've watched it. How does it 'end" do they go into hiding(everyone) or something? What about Isley?
Raki=whore for sure then.Orin GA said:The ones that survive the battle dissappear for several years. Raki is still with Isely, training I presume.
And you know what? They say that claymores have some unattractive thing since when those guys were going to assault Teresa they backed off in disgust. But Claire is half human...half claymore*human so she probably doesn't have that thing. And she's been nude several times and seems okay from the front(Raki as witness).
Not sure about this. Later in the manga, a claymore is shown breast feeding but doesnt seem to have any irregularities on her chest. It might be the stomach that is disfigured.
Did he get mentally damaged or something guys and he can only remember her name? And WHY oh WHY did she kiss him? That came out of nowhere by the way. It was way to quick of a development in both anime/manga and she never even showed interest in him.
That was just clare throwing him the: "THE SEDUCTIVE SMILE OF A PROSTITUTE, WANT TO SEE?" :lol
I know that...I read all the manga chapters.Orin GA said:and wtf. So they kill Priscilla then? and the story continues as normal? Why would Raki leave Claire then? He doesn't want that!?
No, Priscilla is still with Raki and Isely. In the manga Raki has yet to find Claire. Galatea, Isely, Raki, and Priscilla never went to the battle ground in the north in the first place
Orin GA said:I have yet to see the episode. But you can find pictures and a blog in process here.

Yeah, man. She ain't dead. :lolBeezy said:
Yeah, that was great. Let's make an anime only ending that completely ignores the manga for no reason, and then don't resolve anything in the end. That will be AWESOME! Madhouse strikes again after the DMC anime fiasco.Great Rumbler said:With an ending like that, they really need to come out with a second season.

Clare...Fireblend said:WTF. What kind of horribly open ending is that?!
.WTF happened to all Clare was training for? Like the whole "use incredible little yoki" and analyse the yoki of your opponent thing? She just went batshit insane and attacked the moststupidly way possibly.
Also, we didn't get an explanation of anything. WTF was Easly doing? why did he let Rai live? What was his plan to begin with?! NOTHING AT ALL. Who wrote this!?
Oh, and whatever happened to the abysmal four or whatever? Weren't they going to conquer the world or something?
Also, stupid Raki ruining the show's ending. Clare should have killed Priscilla when she could and Jeane should have let Clare kill Raki too.
Damn, that sucked.
and after all that bullshit they give us a shitty open happy endingGreat Rumbler said:From the way people were talking about the last two episodes, it seemed all they wanted to do was forget that the show even existed and go back to reading the manga.
Also from the way people were talking, I figured that Raki played a huge role in 24/25 and that much of those episodes were devoted to him, thus giving people who dislike [ie. everyone] a reason to just completely give up where before they had stuck with it. So, I was a bit surprised to notice that he actually had less time in 24/25 combined than he did in some of the other episodes just prior to that. If anything the last two episodes are actually improving the overall quality of the show by virtue of giving him less screen time.
Now let's see if he can somehow redeem himself in episodes 26, but I doubt it.
Taken within the context of the show, they're probably better than a lot of the other episodes in the series in that Raki is delegated to minimal status and we're finally get the confrontation between Priscilla and Clare.
You're mixing the logic of the manga and the logic of the anime. In the manga Priscilla is exponentially stronger than Clare ever will be at this point and if they fought Clare would be dead in a second, but that's the manga. Nothing so far in the anime has given us a reason to suggest that Clare CAN'T somehow defeat Priscilla at this point in her development.
The creators of the anime didn't suddenly decide to go against their own logic and magically give Clare power that wasn't inherently there to begin with just so they could end the series.
The manga is the manga, the anime is the anime. They're going to be different no matter what and, to a certain extent, that's the way it should be. Making an anime series that takes the manga frame-for-frame and animates it would be kind of pointless. Whether the changes are bad or good...well...*shrugs*
Clare is disfigured, check out when Rubel asked her it was healing.Orin GA said:The ones that survive the battle dissappear for several years. Raki is still with Isely, training I presume.

Dali said:Just watched the last episode and I am fairly pissed/disappointed at how stupid it ended.Raki fucking prevents Claire from killing Pris as though she is a human!! He says some stupid speech that leads you to believe he doesn't consider Pris a Yoma, as though he didn't see her feasting on human flesh a few episodes prior. What's worse is Claire complies with Raki's request. I guess in all her photo-memory like flashbacks she forgot Priscilla tricked Teresa into letting her guard down and killed her like a coward. Then you can tell Pris will return again in the future, just as evil only probably more powerful. Will Raki still have reservations about killing her then? Will Claire be like, "Why didn't I kill you when I had the chance?" Jeez it reminds me of every episode of GI Joe or Inspector gadget when the protags sworn enemy is allowed to escape just to keep the plot going. This ending was fucking horrible. I can only hope the second season does something amazing to make me forget about this, but if it involves Pris as the antagonist whatsoever, then the stupid ending of this season will cast a shadow over the entire next season. /rant

anyways, this anime started out GREAT but lost a lot of steam towards the end.
oh yea,and Raki, yea i hated him too since the first few episodes, dud was wayyy too emotional for my liking, i was SO hoping thatbut ah well. and easley is such a badass, too bad we didnt see him fight, i wonder if he could beat teresa?pricilla would stab raki as he's talking to clare

The manga is like what... a few chapters ahead of the anime? Totally not even worth it for a few extra chapters and the next bunch don't come for a long, long time. I say that the where the anime was faithful, it easily replaces the experience of the manga because it has animation, sound and colors. It's just that too bad that the anime just ended flat and if you want to know what happens next, there is very little released after it (the major 2 things being thePS2 KID said:It's like Gantz where the second half, (or in this case, last few episodes) just ruin all the good stuff from earlier on. People should just read the manga if they need their fix of Claymore. It's much better especially after watching the disappointing last episode.
If there's a second season I have no idea how they will go about it since Madhouse wanted to wrap things up and pretty much did so (left plot holes though. lol.).
It's not a Berserk rip-off, its probably closer to something like a darker Bleach. And the story gets much better as you go along in the volumes.hteng said:i donno, the anime gave me a Berserk rip off impression in the first few episodes and i stopped watching and read the manga instead, stopped at vol 2, couldn't get into it due to the similarities. Maybe i'm spoiled by Berserk's story or something, i really liked it, for those that doesn't know berserk you should definitely try it out if you like claymore.
