But man. The whole show(I haven't seen episode 26 yet) started off good. But you could just tell that Raki liked Claire for more then just saving his life, he obviously harbored some feelings for her from day 1.

To those who've watched it. How does it 'end" do they go into hiding(everyone) or something? What about Isley?

And you know what? They say that claymores have some unattractive thing since when those guys were going to assault Teresa they backed off in disgust. But Claire is half human...half claymore*human so she probably doesn't have that thing. And she's been nude several times and seems okay from the front(Raki as witness).

So the guy is just after that man @_@ I mean he hangs out with all these strong beautiful women. And all he can do is "Claire..."

Did he get mentally damaged or something guys and he can only remember her name? And WHY oh WHY did she kiss him? That came out of nowhere by the way. It was way to quick of a development in both anime/manga and she never even showed interest in him.

Raki can't handle all that.

Damn. Bleach and Claymore sometimes just push so many limits on Shonen with the words and actions characters take. That stuff is borderline hentai at times! Really annoying.

The ones that survive the battle dissappear for several years. Raki is still with Isely, training I presume.

Not sure about this. Later in the manga, a claymore is shown breast feeding but doesnt seem to have any irregularities on her chest. It might be the stomach that is disfigured. Then again, that same claymore was deemed a "failure"

That was just clare throwing him the: "THE SEDUCTIVE SMILE OF A PROSTITUTE, WANT TO SEE?" :lol

Raki=whore for sure then.

and wtf. So they kill Priscilla then? and the story continues as normal? Why would Raki leave Claire then? He doesn't want that!?

No, Priscilla is still with Raki and Isely. In the manga Raki has yet to find Claire. Galatea, Isely, Raki, and Priscilla never went to the battle ground in the north in the first place

I know that...I read all the manga chapters.

Give me a summary please of this episode. It sounds so dumb.

With an ending like that, they really need to come out with a second season.
Yeah, that was great. Let's make an anime only ending that completely ignores the manga for no reason, and then don't resolve anything in the end. That will be AWESOME! Madhouse strikes again after the DMC anime fiasco.

Without manga - pretty good show
With manga - meh.. wth

yeah the ending would have been good if i wouldnt have read the manga

The main 'disfigurement' of Claymore is that their nipples are... like this.
Wouldn't click on that if you don't wanna be freaked out.

I didn't read the manga and I must say that the ending is really good unexpected twist at the end very cool imo

Here's a non-spoiler preview of the first five minutes of the episode

Raki: Clare...
Clare: Kill... kill... kill...
Priscilla: Unforgivable... unforgivable... unforgivable...
Raki: Priscilla...
Priscilla: Yoma... yoma... unforgivable!
Clare: Kill... kill!
Galatea: Clare...
Raki: Clare... Priscilla... Clare... Priscilla... Stop!
Clare: Teresa!
[Voice of Teresa]: Clare... Clare... Clare... Clare... Clare!

The only thing that bothers me about the episode if they were going to end it like that, why vary from the manga to begin with? If you didn't read the manga, it was a good episode that left a major opening for a second season. i wished that
Clare killed Priscilla. It was Teresa's mercy that got her killed in the first place both in the town where she decided to spare Priscilla and in the fight that led to her eventual death. You could say that it was Teresa that was holding Clare back from killing her but come the fuck on. Just kill her; it's not like there's not plenty of other enemies for them to defeat, and they've already strayed from the manga.
i guess it leaves them an opening for the future.

WTF. What kind of horribly open ending is that?!

WTF happened to all Clare was training for? Like the whole "use incredible little yoki" and analyse the yoki of your opponent thing? She just went batshit insane and attacked the moststupidly way possibly.

Also, we didn't get an explanation of anything. WTF was Easly doing? why did he let Rai live? What was his plan to begin with?! NOTHING AT ALL. Who wrote this!?

Oh, and whatever happened to the abysmal four or whatever? Weren't they going to conquer the world or something?

Also, stupid Raki ruining the show's ending. Clare should have killed Priscilla when she could and Jeane should have let Clare kill Raki too.
.

Damn, that sucked.

Watched it. Disappointing.
Raki protecting Priscilla is really down right retarded. Sure let the strongest Awakened being live because she cries when she eats humans. W.T.F. Clare letting Priscilla live is like throwing everything she's been living for in the trash.

Clare...

Just watched the last episode and I am fairly pissed/disappointed at how stupid it ended.
Raki fucking prevents Claire from killing Pris as though she is a human!! He says some stupid speech that leads you to believe he doesn't consider Pris a Yoma, as though he didn't see her feasting on human flesh a few episodes prior. What's worse is Claire complies with Raki's request. I guess in all her photo-memory like flashbacks she forgot Priscilla tricked Teresa into letting her guard down and killed her like a coward. Then you can tell Pris will return again in the future, just as evil only probably more powerful. Will Raki still have reservations about killing her then? Will Claire be like, "Why didn't I kill you when I had the chance?" Jeez it reminds me of every episode of GI Joe or Inspector gadget when the protags sworn enemy is allowed to escape just to keep the plot going. This ending was fucking horrible. I can only hope the second season does something amazing to make me forget about this, but if it involves Pris as the antagonist whatsoever, then the stupid ending of this season will cast a shadow over the entire next season. /rant

From the way people were talking about the last two episodes, it seemed all they wanted to do was forget that the show even existed and go back to reading the manga.

Also from the way people were talking, I figured that Raki played a huge role in 24/25 and that much of those episodes were devoted to him, thus giving people who dislike [ie. everyone] a reason to just completely give up where before they had stuck with it. So, I was a bit surprised to notice that he actually had less time in 24/25 combined than he did in some of the other episodes just prior to that. If anything the last two episodes are actually improving the overall quality of the show by virtue of giving him less screen time.

Now let's see if he can somehow redeem himself in episodes 26, but I doubt it.

Taken within the context of the show, they're probably better than a lot of the other episodes in the series in that Raki is delegated to minimal status and we're finally get the confrontation between Priscilla and Clare.

You're mixing the logic of the manga and the logic of the anime. In the manga Priscilla is exponentially stronger than Clare ever will be at this point and if they fought Clare would be dead in a second, but that's the manga. Nothing so far in the anime has given us a reason to suggest that Clare CAN'T somehow defeat Priscilla at this point in her development.

The creators of the anime didn't suddenly decide to go against their own logic and magically give Clare power that wasn't inherently there to begin with just so they could end the series.

The manga is the manga, the anime is the anime. They're going to be different no matter what and, to a certain extent, that's the way it should be. Making an anime series that takes the manga frame-for-frame and animates it would be kind of pointless. Whether the changes are bad or good...well...*shrugs*
and after all that bullshit they give us a shitty open happy ending

Clare is disfigured, check out when Rubel asked her it was healing.

Is there even supposed to be a next season of Claymore? The ending is the very definition of cliffhanger but I don't know If I want to see another season of it.

KULAREEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Fucking Raki ruins everything.
And how hilarious that EVERYONE forgot there are still dozens of Claymores at Pieta sitting around doing nothing. :lol

Well that was a total shit-tornado.

I don't mind Raki (that much) and have absolutely loved the show up until this "last" "episode", but that was the least satisfying ending I could've ever imagined.

started out so good...ended so horribly...such a shitty show overall.

KUREAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

RAKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

KUREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

RAKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

idiots.

The series felt rushed towards the end and the conclusion was crap. Shame, because it had some very good episodes. Still enjoyed it overall.

My god, I can't recall a more pathetic and annoying character than Raki though.

I can't remember the last time i hated a main character the way i hate Raki. So fucking annoying.

even though i never read the manga,it was obvious when they stopped follwing the manga and started to make up their own stuff. the dragonball z type showdown between clare and pricilla was straight horrible
why did pricilla get defeated so eaily? clare's memoies of teresa is what gave her strength, what, did she suddenly have a super memory of terasa that gave her an extra boost?horrible
the series is way too ambitious for 26 episodes im sure the manga will eventually
introduce claymore#1 and 2, and have that big battle between the dwellers of the deep,it seems like that was forgotten during these last few episodes

anyways, this anime started out GREAT but lost a lot of steam towards the end.

oh yea,and Raki, yea i hated him too since the first few episodes, dud was wayyy too emotional for my liking, i was SO hoping that
pricilla would stab raki as he's talking to clare
but ah well. and easley is such a badass, too bad we didnt see him fight, i wonder if he could beat teresa?

LMAO... the ending was far worse than the worst ending I could've imagined.

Good going Madhouse, first you fucked up second season of Death Note, then completely tarnish DMC's name with the anime (though DMC2 did most of that) and now you have fucked up the ending of Claymore

No closure and cliffhanger-ish ending to an ending that isn't even canon to the manga. Total waste all around. At least have some closure if you are going to have an original ending.

Excellent start for an anime, was still entertaining until the last episode and just drops the ball at the end. Disappointment total.

Umm...after ep 26, Claymore doesn't deserve it's own thread..
QFT... I was just about to post that. Man, looking back ep 7-8 were so fucking epic I had my jaw on the floor the entire time.... what a tragedy has befallen this great series.

I doubt it. Teresa pwnd Priscilla completely (not a scratch) without even changing in the least. Imagine if she put some effort into it.

Damn! Second post!! Are you some sort of time magician or something?

i donno, the anime gave me a Berserk rip off impression in the first few episodes and i stopped watching and read the manga instead, stopped at vol 2, couldn't get into it due to the similarities. Maybe i'm spoiled by Berserk's story or something, i really liked it, for those that doesn't know berserk you should definitely try it out if you like claymore.

so is there going to be a second season or are they just dangling the possibility out there?

i never read the manga so i thought it was alright... i seriously didn't think it would end so soon... i thought this would be an ongoing series.

It's like Gantz where the second half, (or in this case, last few episodes) just ruin all the good stuff from earlier on. People should just read the manga if they need their fix of Claymore. It's much better especially after watching the disappointing last episode.

If there's a second season I have no idea how they will go about it since Madhouse wanted to wrap things up and pretty much did so (left plot holes though. lol.).

The manga is like what... a few chapters ahead of the anime? Totally not even worth it for a few extra chapters and the next bunch don't come for a long, long time. I say that the where the anime was faithful, it easily replaces the experience of the manga because it has animation, sound and colors. It's just that too bad that the anime just ended flat and if you want to know what happens next, there is very little released after it (the major 2 things being the
fight between Easley and the other Abyssal being plus Alicia and Beatrice the Abyssal killers
).

It's not a Berserk rip-off, its probably closer to something like a darker Bleach. And the story gets much better as you go along in the volumes.
