How you play determines your stats and inventory is limited to how much you can fit in a pack.

Base it on skill and skill only.

so i got questions that i'd like answered real quick --

i want to start my crushing game. when i click new game, it asks if i want to keep bonus treasures/medals -- if i say yes, will that prevent me from getting crushing trophy?

also, can i use custom costumes when i play crushing and get the crushing trophy?
Don't click new game unless you want to lose your ability to skip to different chapters. Just pick a chapter from the menu and continue from there.

Finally, where's a good spot (spoiler tag it if you need to) to do the 3 expert trophies... (5 headshots, 10 meelee kills in a row, 10 soften then melee in a row).
Chap. 4 on very easy for the Steel Fist trophies. Shoot greys once and blacks twice, then punch.

Just finished the story, awesome writing. About to dive into the multiplayer. This game is perfect in every way.

Who's up for some COOP (normal or hard)

What's the difference between the Revenge booster and Martydom perk exactly?
Revenge only seems to drop a grenade if you had one on you.
In MW a grenade drops no matter what.

My favorite place in the game was the
Nepal Village
. I was amazed at all the little details, like Drake
waving/shaking hands with the villagers instead of punching them :P
or him
trying to play soccer with the little kids
. And oh yeah,
Nate talking to the yaks was good stuff.
:lol

Man I love this game. Hopefully the next game has more areas like that, loved it.

Came in here to ask about my amazon code, and see the eye rolling about it...why is it 800mb? That got me excited. Downloading now, what is it exactly?

yeah, go to your stats page on naughtydog.com and then click on the weapons tab. it'll give you details on all your weapons.

Isnt that for MP only? I wanted this for SP so I could figure out how far I am from getting their trophies.

just finished single player...overall easier than the 1st game esp the end...

amazing graphics....tibet is the best environment ive ever seen in a game...loved the train level too

I'm really not a fan of multiplayer games outside of DotA, and I was worried that buying this just for the single player might be a bad idea. I was definitely proved wrong.

I finished the game on Hard today, and started on Crushing. Wow, Crushing is going to be really difficult in many places. I hope it won't take me too many go throughs to beat it. So, yeah, this is my third time playing the game, and I'm still having fun. I also played a bit of multiplayer as well, when I remembered that playing multiplayer today through Sunday can give you a chance to win the Fortune Hunter Edition. So fun online is, and I can't wait to fully get back into it like I was when I was playing the demo.

Also sort of wondering when my completed u1 save gets me a reward in u2, since I haven't noticed yet.

Finished the game. Dunno how long I took but I only had 35ish treasures. :O They hid the suckers well.

What a wonderful gaming experience. Hey ND guys, thanks for making this brilliant game. I don't even know if I can call it that because the end game was so visceral and moving to me. I said I'd be day 1 for Uncharted 2 and I was. Uncharted 3. Day 1. Love your work.

amazing amazing amazing.

now to read the thread now that I can access all the spoilers. :)

I'm on chapter 21 I think. I have a question though.
I am in the part that goes right after the car chase scene. Were you have to jump from car to car. In the next area is it possible to go completely stealth or do I have to fight?

Just started dicking around with the cinema mode, and I COMPLETELY forgot you could take screen shots with this game. Now I must go bat shit crazy snapping pics.

You can stealth it. There are a few areas in the game that, if you stealth it, you'll end up fighting less enemies.

can I kill all the enemies or just a few. I can take down 4 maybe 5 before they all start attacking. BTW I noticed there is a crossbow immediately to your left when you start the level. Can the crossbow do stealth kills?

It's an 800mb movie that only shows the first six treasures of the game apparently.

Fuck that shit. Once I saw what it was I didn't even bother downloading it :lol

Yes, you can stealth kill with the crossbow.

Hmmm I want to see how far I can go in that part of the game using only stealth. I think there is a way for me to kill 6 guys using stealth, but I'm not sure. Too tired to try it out. Will do it tomorrow though.

Go to the store and press square to unlock - it tells you down the bottom :)
Thanks!

The amazon code is a movie? I was hoping for something extra in game...as the rest of the world probably was too :lol

The
last boss was kinda eh. I got through the whole game on hard, but had to switch to normal to beat him. Shotgun and quadruple grenade spam are not fun
:x

took me about 6 tries on hard but it wasn't too difficult to be honest. Kind of easy if you know how.

Also people complaining about the
yeti
- well the guys 1-2 pages ago, are you just lousy at the game or what? I had no problems with them. /shrug.

At the helicopter and inside the building fire fight scene. I shouted HOLY SHIT! the physics n everything.

yes this was amazing. It was the E3 demo but playing it, HOLYSHIT. when the thing went down, I was like OMFG all over again. It is incredible what this engine can do? The ICE team?

/bow

The one thing about U2 is the amount and number of OMFG moments in the game

aw fuck, lets just call it what it is. I was listing OMFG moments but there are so many. So I deleted my spoiler tagged list. :D This game is fucking amazing and its just set piece after setpiece. AMAZING

on the finale

Okay, when elena was hurt badly by the grenade.
I felt myself welling up with emotion and that... to me says alot about how I connected with the characters and the game. It was cinematic, told well, was resonant. The story/characters at the heart of UC2 are so well defined and loveable that I really did feel moved. And then you get to the very end
and I love how nate and elena got together.
Its perfect. The
comedic banter
at the end hit the perfect note. I love this game. ND forever.

MY GAME OF THE YEAR. HOLYSHIT IS IT GOOD.

The crossbow is stealthy as long as the other soldiers don't notice their comrades go down.

Now I know why everyone was saying "holy shit", I just got to
the part where you're walking through the town in the mountains with Tenzin
, and the only thing I can say was holy shit. I've never seen graphics like that, so colorful, bright and alive. Naughty Dog knew it too because they just let you stroll through to take in the sights and interact with the people. Unbelievable. This whole game is just in another league.

About glitches, I did have one where I fell into the floor and got stuck so I had to start the checkpoint again. Other than that it's been pretty smooth so far.
That part reminds me of
Ocarina of Time in the village with the graveyard (been way too long, can't remember the name, Village of Time maybe?).

Elimination is the way to play Multiplayer.

I hadn't been enjoying the multi too much previously, but I've figured out that's because I was just playing deathmatch. Standard DM just doesn't work that great with the Uncharted formula. It's too fast paced and frenetic and consequence-free, when Uncharted's combat pace is SUPPOSED to be more deliberate and strategic. Standard DM makes Uncharted feel like a different (worse) game. It's not that it's terrible, it's just... not as good.

Making the switch to Elimination absolutely fixes this. People take cover, flank, support their teammates, etc. It's a world of difference.

If anyone is up for some elimination my PSN ID is ErrorJustin and ima be hopping online in a couple.

Yeah, ignored everything until I got my hands on the game and I would just like to say:

This game is very very very very very very very fucking good. I'm officially a fan of the franchise.

k back to playing.

Aw, what tweaks are available after doing it on Easy? I'm on chapter 22 and really struggling in the shootouts now. Please tell me I can make Normal or Hard easier for myself.

Just finished the game....wow.

That's all I can say. Definitely the most cinematic gaming experience I have ever had. Best story/acting/voicework in a game. Best graphics. I know Heavy Rain wants to pull off the cinematic gaming thing, but I find this approach far more effective: be cinematic with story and cut-scenes, but let the players play the action bits. I found myself more tense and more anxious during Uncharted 2 than even Dead Space/Resident Evil/etc. Going on to play Brutal Legend and A Boy and His Blob....but they feel so gamey. Not a bad thing, but after going through U2....I'm afraid something like this won't come around again for a long while. While GoW3 and FFXIII are without a doubt epic and AAAA....I don't know, I just don't feel they will elicit the same response from me. The sense of realism in place here is too perfect.

The transitioning of environments is also very impressive. Some of the best levels ever...I can't think of another game that attempts to be so epic with all of its areas. The world is so full of detailed geometry that I felt like Drake just happened to be adventuring in a living world. For how linear the campaign is, ND did a fantastic job of creating a sense of scale, as well as movie-like environments and set-pieces. The way that the environments sorta of build upon each, each one trumping the last, also deserves recognition. Culminating in
Shambala
...prettiest gaming environment of all time?

Also really appreciated the motion capture and acting. ND did a phenomenal job animating each character with realistic hand gestures and facial expressions. Surprisingly, I found Lazarvich to be potentially the most realistic looking. Loved the banter between characters during gameplay....Elika and the Prince did a nice job in PoP, but everything in U2 is contextual, comical, and delivered spot on. I felt ND took some risks dialogue wise, including exchanges that enhanced the experience oh so much.

So many memorable moments....but the one that sticks out the most right now is near the end,
sliding down into Shambala on the moving platform that is tearing up the ruins...and shooting at mercs all the while!
.

Now to find some way to get my hands on a Fortune Hunter's Edition....

Oh, and on a final note....Chloe is without a doubt the most attractive videogame character ever created.

"
You know you're gonna miss this ass
"......I sure am Chloe...I sure am...
