But all of those but one are on PS3

Not all of those if you look carefully :) And I might forget some other games. It's a matter of taste.

Flynn is a good character, makes me sad that Eddy Raja was so underused. He was great for his limited time

There's a great picture of him in the journal "angry Eddy, RIP", awesome :lol

Whoops :lol Who the shit was Eddy Raja? I must confess that I didnt find any of the UC1 characters to be memorable outside of Drake, Sully and Elena.

Was he the rival/bad guy?

Sort of remember....but not really :lol Then again, I havent replayed UC1 since about Feb. 2008, and like I said, the story/characters werent all that memorable for me. As soon as I get all my shit back in December, Im gonna speedrun through UC1 again before hitting up UC2.

What? Eddy Raja more than memorable you ugly konyok!!

Just beat it on normal.

I said wow.

What a game. Loved the homage to Halo and Halo 3 at the end :lol

Also Nate's diary ftmfw! So funny.

Well I finished the game! What a wild and very fun ride. I actually feel compelled to play through it again unlike the first game which I pretty much lost interest in starting with the jet ski portion. I'm totally going to use the Sully skin and play through the game some time.

The last boss fight was pretty lame in my opinion. I think the game would have been better off simply not having a boss fight. The rest of the game was pretty damn awesome though and it never quit in presenting awesome new set pieces that are a blast to play through. The game definitely peaked for me in the chapters 14 - 22 span. I might be incorrect on the exact chapter numbers, but I am talking about the section starting with the train yard and ending with the battle in village and the epic car chase before the monastery. That is not to say the rest of the game wasn't great, but I just found that particular portion to be the most fun. There were also some great stealth kill opportunities in the later chapters.

I definitely have some complaints here and there, but overall the game was so polished and the presentation was so awesome that they seem minor in comparison. However, I definitely did have as much fun with this game as I have with some other titles this year. The game showed me some amazing stuff and it felt like a blockbuster movie throughout, but outside of a few sections I definitely did have as much fun with the actual gameplay call it my game of the year. I did play through on Normal and still want to give it a go on Hard and try out multiplayer, but I doubt my opinion will change much.

Anyway, awesome game. It is definitely going to be remembered as one of the titles that defined this generation of consoles.

I wasn't initially impressed by the game. It seemed as if my input was minimal, which hurt the whole "game" aspect. Now that the game's given me a bit more freedom, I'd like to say the following; holy shit.

How is it each chapter the visuals seem to get better and better? I mean....just when you think nah, as good as it's getting....bam!

About that last boss stuff, I think that ND should definitely use the surnatural elements of the series to give us a true final boss. I read a fake spoil about a minotaur in this thread, and actually I was disappointed to not find such a boss in the game...

I wonder if UC2 will be king of graphics until their next project. I wouldn't be surprised, but I'm keeping my eye on God of War 3

eddy raja was awesome. i always felt like there was some sort of bromance going on between him and drake. it's a shame he had to die.

Come on, I would have thought MW2 would be the front runner for GOTY. It's silly to write that off just because UC2 has blown us away. MW2 could very well do the same thing. Not in the graphics department of course but everything else may have the same mind blowing effect that UC2 obviously has had.

Point being, to early to write this off as the winner. Clear favorite compared to what has already been released but there's still some great games to come.

Uncharted is how you do super-natural right. I'm looking at you Indiana Jones.

I am scared of clowns.

Okay, but it's not every day that a game of this caliber comes along. You'd need some very high expectations of MW2 in my opinion

No, Indiana Jones always did supernatural right. It's Science Fiction it can't do worth a fig.

Finished it...
that was the most intense and satisfying gaming experience of this(these) year(s).
I don't usually replay a game, since I have a large backlog waiting... this time I'm definitely playing this one on Crushing difficulty. And I'm going to watch again those awesome cutscenes.
This is my GOTY, I don't care how good can MW2 be.

modern warefare 2 will without a doubt be very very awesome but I have my doubts that it really can compete with a game like this, Best game I have ever played and to think that 2 of the best games I have ever played will be released in the same year and only 1 month between is just loco.

Prove me wrong IW!!

:D

After you kill the last boss you do the run across the bridge as it crumbles. Very reminiscent of the final sequences of Halo and Halo 3.

yea I am sure they thought of halo when doing that scene.......

Bit of a stretch but if you say so

Yeah this is kinda how I was feeling. After the half way point the platforming puzzles actually started to get interesting and well everything else just got crazy.

I had a chance to buy this today, but my girlfriend is working all weekend and I want to experience it with her, so I'm leaving it until Thursday night so we can plough through it, hopefully finishing it before she has to work on Saturday afternoon.

I'm a good fucking boyfriend. :'(

Uncharted 2 GOTY 2009? not sure, we already have Killzone 2, inFamous, SFIV, Demon's Souls... and MW2 has yet to come (though I hate the CoD franchise with all my heart and soul seems like all the kids love it). I guess my vote will go to KZ2, 500+ hours and memorable GAFe games will never be forgotten.
